I bet all the parents are buzzing that it’s finally that time again 😂 After 6 weeks off making some amazing memories, having plenty of fun and probably costing us all a small fortune… it’s time to go back! 👋🏻😂

Good luck to all our boys heading into Year 3, and to Wren heading into Year 2! 🥹💚

Hope you all have the best first day back, enjoy catching up with your friends and go into the new school year with those big smiles on your faces.

Clash of the Titans… what a day! 🐍💚

Our Vipers U8s took on an U9 tournament this afternoon, and the boys gave it absolutely everything. They should be incredibly proud of themselves.

Scott and Stuey knew before we even arrived that it was going to be a seriously tough day. Our message to the boys was simple: have fun, enjoy yourselves and don’t worry about the results.

And they did exactly that. Every single one of them played with a massive smile on their faces. The teamwork, listening, effort and focus were absolutely spot on. We genuinely couldn’t fault a single player. 👏

Group stage:
⚽ Whiteleas Vipers 2-0 Sunderland Leon Golds
⚽ Whiteleas Vipers 0-0 Seaham Roseberry Park Eagles
⚽ Whiteleas Vipers 0-6 Ferryhill Miners
⚽️ Whiteleas Vipers 0-3 Pools Youth Green
⚽ Whiteleas Vipers 1-1 Washington White Milan

That was enough to see us progress into the semi-final, where we faced Seaham Roseberry Park Eagles again.

The boys dug deep and came away with a fantastic 2-1 victory! 💪🔥

Then came the final…

Unfortunately, we only had around 2 minutes rest between the semi-final and final, so we knew it was going to be a massive ask. But the boys still went out there and gave it everything they had.

It wasn’t to be this time, and the final defeat was tough for some of our lads, with a few understandably getting upset. But they should keep those heads held high because what they achieved today was brilliant. ❤️

From competing against teams a year older, to reaching the final — what an achievement.

Another tough game for the lads tonight! The first 15 minutes we seemed to forget how to pass the ball and get stuck into a challenge, but after that we really pushed on. We created some great chances, found the net multiple times, and started playing the football we know we’re capable of. 💚

This lad gives 100% every single game. Even when his asthma is making things difficult, he never lets it stop him giving everything for the team. Tonight that effort was rewarded with a fantastic hat-trick!

Tough game for the lads tonight!

We played a friendly against a very, very good Harton & Westoe side. This was always going to be a good test. As you all know, we’ve just been promoted from Division 8 to Division 6, so playing stronger opposition in friendlies will only help us improve.

Despite the result, the boys gave it absolutely everything, and that’s all we can ask for. Their attitude and effort never dropped.

We also welcomed two new players tonight, and both impressed. Wren scored a fantastic solo goal on his debut! William played a great part too. Well done lads!

🏆💚 SPRING CUP CHAMPIONS! 💚🏆

What a journey it’s been.

Back in October, this was just a group of young lads who barely knew each other on a football pitch. Fast forward to today, and they’ve become a proper team, a family, and now… Spring Cup Champions! 🐍🏆

Every training session, every match, every smile, every tear, every setback and every success has led to this moment. These boys have shown incredible determination, teamwork and heart all season long, and they deserve every bit of this achievement.

A huge thank you to all the parents for your constant support, and to everyone who’s been behind us throughout the season. We couldn’t have done it without you.

This is only the beginning.

⚽️💚 Whiteleas Vipers U7s End of Season Party! 💚⚽️

Please come and join us as we celebrate the end of what has been an incredible first season together as a team!

It’s hard to believe that before long these lads will no longer be U7s and will be stepping up to become our U8s. The season has flown by, and what a journey it has been.

Over the last 10 months, the boys have been an absolute pleasure to coach. We’ve shared plenty of ups and downs along the way, but every challenge has helped us grow stronger as a team. We’ve celebrated brilliant victories, learned from tough defeats, made great memories, and watched every single player improve week after week. What has stood out most isn’t just the football, but the friendships, teamwork, confidence, and determination the lads have shown throughout the season.

This evening is a chance for players, parents, family members, coaches and supporters to come together and celebrate everything we’ve achieved as one big football family. We’ll have music, games, food, plenty of laughs, and of course a chance to look back on some fantastic memories from our first season together.

A huge thank you goes to all the parents, families and supporters for everything you’ve done throughout the season. Without your commitment, encouragement and support, none of this would be possible.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you all and look forward to making even more memories as we begin our journey as Whiteleas Vipers U8s.

What a fantastic way to sign off our U7s season! 💚⚽️

I couldn’t be prouder of these boys. They’ve battled from the very first game of the season right to the very end, and today they finished with a brilliant 4-2 win over Seaham AFC Blues.

We started brightly and raced into a 2-0 lead, but the heat got to us a little and we lost our concentration. Seaham fought back well to make it 2-2, but our lads showed great character, kept pushing, and found another two goals to regain control. Seaham grabbed one more late on, but we held out to take all three points after a brilliant, hard-fought game.

Brennan was also chosen as Player of the Match by the opposition coaches, who said he “gives his all, never stops working, and always wants to win the ball back.” You can’t ask for much more than that. Thoroughly deserved, Bren! 👏💚

A massive thank you to all the players and parents for a brilliant U7s season. It’s been a pleasure to watch the boys develop, and I can’t wait to see what they achieve next season as U8s! 💚⚽️

⚽️💚 Matchday Report – Whiteleas Vipers U7s vs Hebburn town Madrid 💚⚽️

A real game of two halves today!

If we’re being honest, the first half was a bit of a disaster. We just didn’t wake up and never really got going. But what a response from the lads after the break! The second half was outstanding, and they played their hearts out. 👏💚

I’m incredibly proud of all 8 boys. Once again, they had to deal with plenty of physical challenges – getting kicked all over the pitch, shirts nearly being pulled off their backs, and even a bit of time-wasting from the opposition… but it seemed to work in our favour in the end! 😄

Brennan also chipped in with a couple of assists, while Alfie was desperately unlucky not to sn**ch the winner right at the end when he found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

What a performance from our rock at the back! 🧱 Absolute unit. He didn’t let anyone past him all game and, without a doubt, produced his best performance yet in the green and white hoops. Fully deserved, Henry! 👏💚
