SESKU right to the end but on the wrong side of the result

A slow start really showed the team hasn't played a game in a few weeks, but they fought back as best they could.

The boys can hold their heads up for the fight they showed. Even when the game was nearly over they still fought for the ball and for each other

Team performance from SESKU Miners F.C Under 9's sees them finish the spring league with a fully deserved win.

A slow start saw SESKU go a goal down early on but the boys never let that stop them today. A very quick response saw Nicolas smash home his first league goal, quickly followed by a tremendous hit from Filip saw us take the lead. A third goal smashed home by Billy on a rarely seen left foot shot should have made the game comfortable despite conceding a goal late on Miko, Daniel, Nicolas and Xander were in superb form and didn't put a foot wrong the entire game.

Filip tired but battled on and found a bit of that core energy to see the game out with Ethan constantly buzzing around and never shying away from the ball.

Hunter worked tirelessly up front chasing and never giving the opposition defense a moments peace.

SESKU win again on a Saturday ⭐

Under rare blue skies, SESKU Miners F.C Under 9's performed brilliantly again to secure a hard contested away win at Brayton.

Looking solid in all departments and improving game by game. Niall really showed his quality in keeping the defense marshalled and constantly looking for that attacking ball forward.

Our two performances however had to be Nico and Xander who really put the effort in.

What a result for SESKU today! 🏆

The boys were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They stuck to the game plan, put in a massive shift pressing and passing, and just didn't give the opposition any room to breathe.

This one feels extra special because we played this side in pre-season and lost quite comfortably. To come back today and put in such a dominant performance to get the win was honestly epic to watch. The progress they’ve made is massive.

Difficult morning saw SESKU Miners F.C Under 9's come up short against a top North Duffield side.

With poor condition making it difficult for us to play the style that has gained us results recently

A superb solo strike from distance from Niall and three goals for a Billy showed we still had the ability to cause issues in the opposition half.

Sesku Miners F.C are saddened to learn the heartbreaking news that 10 year old Ella has passed away after a brave battle with Cancer. She was a talented and dedicated young grassroots footballer at local clubs Wakefield AFC and Rothwell Juniors.

We as a club send our thoughts and condolences to all who knew Ella, both on and off the football field, including her family. In memory of Ella all of our junior teams will be holding a minute's silence before their games this weekend which we ask all spectators to join in with please.
