Soham Tuesday Summer Darts League - 2026

Hope everyone has a great evening seeing in the New Year & 2026 is everything you hope for it to be

In terms of developments around the relaunch of the Soham League, we’ve been asked about going down the 501 route which would provide a different option given the existing ‘local’ Tuesday leagues have generally offered 301/401 formats (as was the Soham League) so there is big potential here for those wishing to play 501 SIDO. We understand 301 is often seen as the ‘leveler’ though end of the day it will come down to hitting that winning double and given its a league for all abilities, it presents a great opportunity to improve your game

All landlords will be approached early-mid Jan to gather a firm idea on teams and a provisional meeting will take place early Feb to discuss league details

Hello!

Following the recent exploratory message regarding the Soham league relaunch, we’ve received sponsorship offers from a further two local businesses so there are certainly people wanting to get behind this

There has been a bit of kickback from players within other leagues where they are not wanting to lose the Soham pubs from their current setups but this is exactly the point we are trying to make: Soham is a large community and still expanding with new housing developments etc. The population more than doubles that of Fordham/Isleham combined and therefore the opportunity to further support the existing pubs has never been greater. More people = More teams. Needless to say, this puts money into the pubs/clubs whilst those playing would easily be able to walk between venues

Still keen to get feedback with regards to formats. We have a blank canvas to work from so nothing is off the table and it can be tailored in line with preferences….

- Mix of 301/501 singles
- Multi-player formats and whether these are indeed wanted
- Competitions
- Enabling sufficient number of spare weeks

With darts being as popular as it ever has been, we are looking into getting a Soham Darts League going again. Whilst the number of pubs in Soham may have reduced over the years, the appetite is still there. Most/all pubs have teams but are venturing far and wide to throw some arrows though there is no reason why we cannot get a Soham exclusive league going once more.

By keeping it in Soham, getting to venues couldnt be easier and it also removes the need for designated drivers or worse, expense taxis!

Let us know if this is something you are interested in for April/May 2026. Better still, if you have a team ready to go or if you’re someone new or even looking to get back into the sport, give us a comment!

Nearer the time, meetings will take place to confirm the structure of the league with the captain’s / pubs once interest and sponsors have been identified
