Today I had a catch up with a family that came to Femtinos workshops pre-covid. Both of the girls took part in our Little Speakers club back in 2018!

Now 19 &. 20, I forget how long sometimes I've been doing these sessions. I know in terms of years but in terms of the students that came, they are now studying or working

I'd love to catch up with the kids that have grown up with our sessions and get them to run classes and activities going forward, inspiring the next generation but also learning great leadership skills along the way

Does anyone recognise who did the amazing politics speech in front of 100 guests, including local councillors?

Our exciting Art Workshops at our brand new femtinoslearninghub.com in Northfield!
We have science classes running from 11-12:30pm Wednesday and Sundays. You can add on Art from 1-2:30pm on either of these days for just an extra £15 per session 😍

Rocks and Minerals afterschool club. Students created their very own rock cycle learning how igneous rock, sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock transition from one to another

Something exciting is coming for Femtinos 15th Anniversary

We're opening up a science lab!!
Yes a lab, an actual lab
Oh and a stage for Little speakers club.
This will also serve as our first UKVS meet up hub too (but more on that later).

We need your help though.
The installation of the lab will cost an eye watering £55k. We're hoping to raise funds in advance to enable us to have the lab installation done by the summer. In exchange, we'll offer your child (or someone else's ie a scholarship) the opportunity to have some guaranteed hours at the hub each month!!! You'll be the FIRST to use it AND receive invitations for the opening party 💃

Come on, share close and wide. Let's make this amazing place happen. I've dreamt too long for it (15 years to be exact 😅) and it's now time!!!

Today's afterschool club on recycling water in space!
Water is too heavy to carry lots of fresh water bottles into space so scientists have to come up with smart ways if recycling every drop of water moisture, sweat, urine and poo water!

When you're an astronaut, it's guaranteed you're drinking your fellow astronaut's filtered urine and sweat!

In today's session, students had fun filtering dirty water and learning about what it's really like being an astronaut!

Boxes of space food ready for this after terms after school clubs on how astronauts survive in space! Looking at NASA's inventions in space toilets, freeze drying food and water recycling and filtering that made space missions possible!

Nothing better to top it off with actual space food!
