The answer comes down to the microscopic level of physics, material science, and intentional engineering.
1. Engineered specifically for Aramith Geometry
Template racks rely on incredibly precise ball-to-ball contact physics. Even tiny, micro-variations completely change how tightly the balls lock together. The One-Rack template rack was designed and optimized specifically around the physical properties and dimensions of Aramith Tournament Blacks. Because the spacing is custom-tailored to Aramith, introducing balls with different structural properties can cause the rack to act more inconsistent or show unwanted gaps.
2. Microscopic Friction & Surface Resin Physics

The Dynaspheres Friction Issue: While Dynaspheres are also made of phenolic resin, they have a slightly different surface texture profile that creates more "grip" or "slide friction". Because Dynaspheres deviate slightly more from a perfect sphere, they sit at infinitesimally different depths within the template openings.
