Today was another round of the Daytona Championship in Milton Keynes. Format: heats.

It was only my 4th time driving this track, while I’m racing against guys who have been driving here for 4 years.

In the second heat, I managed to keep up with the overall event leader, which I’m really proud of. I finished just 1.5 seconds behind him and set my personal best lap, improving my previous time by an incredible 1.2 seconds.

Driving behind the leader was a great learning experience.

Heat 1: started P10, finished P4
Heat 2: started P1, finished P3
Final race: started P6, finished P7 after two incidents pushed me back to last place twice. Despite that, I kept fighting until the end and managed to recover to P7.

Great driving overall, although that one mistake still leaves me wanting more.

Yesterday I visited Watford Track again for the Grid Series.
It was quite an interesting day.

I managed to set my personal best lap under 50 seconds (49.299) almost a full second faster than my previous best.

I also messed up the boys’ plans once again…
Qualified P3, finished P2 in the first race.

The reversed grid race was really tough, starting from P6 with some very strong drivers ahead of me who defended hard and kept blocking any opportunities.

In the end, I finished P5 in that race, which was enough to secure the final spot on the podium overall.

Despite all the difficulties, Ernest is focused solely on racing and giving his very best.
He is currently the 🏎️FASTEST🏎️ ever on the track in High Wycombe in his category.
That’s what you call chasing dreams!

Indoor Cadet grid series:
It works like this: there are 6 rounds. In each one, we do qualifying, the first race starts from the qualifying positions, and the second race is run in reverse order.
From those 6 rounds, the 4 best results are selected and the overall points are summed up.
My main track is High Wycombe, but after 3 rounds we decided to shake things up a bit for the guys from Watford 😜
I had only been there twice before for practice. After a lot of controversies on track and some penalties, I finished P4 and P3. (Also 2nd fastest lap)
Not bad, although I was quietly hoping for more. Next time 😉

Today was the Daytona Milton Keynes championship in a heats format. In every race, there was intense fighting all the way to the last corner.
Heat 1: P2 with the fastest lap (3rd fastest of the day overall).
Heat 2: reversed grid started P9, finished P4 after a controversy in the last two corners when I had P3
The final was very exciting. I started P6 and moved up to P5 with a wheel-to-wheel battle for the podium. Then, two drivers ahead of me collided, which caused me to hit the barriers as well. I dropped to P8 and lost about 10 seconds. That didn’t stop me and I kept pushing until the end and finished in P5.
It was only my second visit to this track, so I consider the day a success.
Next time, I’m fighting for the podium.
