Windy afternoon for football down at church lane, but at least the sun was shining, Fishburn park would be the fist to break the deadlock, and bag them selves a goal, a few chances for Slingsby but nothing on target in the first half. Going into half time there was work to be done and some big improvements to be made on the pitch., second half it would be Rio Howden firing home to draw us level after some great footwork by Oli Dade. Rio would get himself on the score sheet another 3 times this half, Fishburn looking like the young lads at the back had given up, and a sin bin for there experienced centre half, would leave them open. Ollie Dade capitalising on this and unleashed a rocket leaving the visiting keeper no chance. Final goal would be Aaron Cooke from about 20 yards out, fine strike to give Slingsby the 6th of the game. After scoring a fantastic 4 goals Rio Howden would see himself watching on from the sideline after he was sent away for 10. Great performance by everyone today after going 0-1 down in the first half. The fight was there and that showed with the result putting Slingsby into the second round of the trophy and print cup.
Best of luck to Fishburn Park F.C Academy for the remainder of the season.
