Yesterday morning saw our under 12s in action with a journey over to Sleaford. A brilliant game with some really nice football played from both teams. Swifts took the lead with a great goal by Samuel, however Sleaford fought back with a goal of their own. Just before half time, Swifts managed to regain the lead and head into the break with a positive attitude.

The second half saw Sleaford fight back, scoring their second goal and putting the pressure on Swifts, however this didn't seem to phase the pink players who quickly scored again to take the lead once more. The match remained pretty evenly matched until the end, where Swifts found another gear and managed to grab themselves a few more goals.

A huge well done to every single player, who played their socks off and gave their all. Managers player went to Tom for a fantastic work rate, and parents player went to Samuel for never giving up and a great attitude.

Thankyou to Danny for running the line and to all of the parents and spectators for cheering on the team. Also thankyou to Sleaford for hosting and of course for everyone's favourite part of a Sleaford match - the chip butties after the game!

⚽💛💙 SWIFTS MINI BALLERS — THURSDAY SESSIONS! 💙💛⚽

We’re excited to welcome boys and girls in Year 1 & Year 2 (5 & 6 year olds) to our Swifts Mini Ballers sessions!

Whether they’re kicking a ball for the first time or already love football, our sessions are all about having fun, making friends, building confidence and learning new skills. 🙌

What a start to the season for the girls!! A brilliant end to end game and excellent work rate from the players. Well done girls!

Today saw our newly formed u17 team play their first competitive match away at Newark against RHP Colts.

We controlled the game for the majority of the first half and got ourselves a well deserved 2-0 lead but RHP were not giving it up and managed to get a goal back before the break.

We continued to attack in the 2nd half and created many chances with a few efforts hitting the woodwork. Our opponents were making it very difficult for us in the 2nd half and managed to grab an equaliser with the game becoming much more open as the players began tiring.

With the game very much end to end we managed to retake the lead with a well struck finish. We held on, defended solidly and saw the game out to take 3 points.

A well fought game by both teams, our coaches are really proud of the team despite many difficulties since last season, the players have stayed positive and have worked hard in training throughout pre-season.

Well done to all involved and thank you to the parents for your support and for making the long journey.

Whole team - great teamwork from the boys, all worked really hard for each other. Special mention for Harvey (team captain) led by example, covered every area of the pitch and grabbed a brace.

Grassroots football is back!

The season has started, the boots are polished, kits prepped and ready, pitches checked and most importantly the smiles are back!

Last weekend our under 12s got the season started with a bank holiday Sunday home game against Lincoln Utd. A brilliant end to end game that could have gone either way, with great goals, tackles and saves from both teams. It was brilliant to see the team moving the ball around the pitch well, passing well and using the whole pitch to their advantage.

Well done to players of the match Will C, Samuel and Jacob G. Thankyou to Danny for running the line and for helping set up/pack away the pitches with Neil too, it's greatly appreciated.

Well done Swifts! A great start to the season.

Whatever today brings, remember that your results are just one small part of your story. They don’t measure your worth, your potential or everything that makes you you.

You might be celebrating, disappointed, relieved, worried - or feeling a bit of everything. Whatever you’re feeling is okay.

⚽️💙💛 WHAT. A. COMEBACK! 💛💙⚽️

Today we played a friendly against Woodhall Spa — and what a game it was!

The girls came away with a fantastic 6–5 victory! 🙌🔥

After such a long break with limited training sessions, it was always going to take the girls a little while to find their rhythm. We started slowly and fell behind, despite creating plenty of chances. Woodhall took advantage and moved into a 5–2 lead, but the girls never let their heads drop.

Erin pulled one back just before half-time to make it 5–3 and give us something to build on.

The second half was a completely different story! 🤩 The girls played some amazing football, worked brilliantly together and started to believe they could turn the game around.

⚽️ Then Fyfa stepped up with a fantastic finish from the edge of the box to complete an incredible comeback! 💥

At the other end, the whole team worked tirelessly to close Woodhall down, while Vanessa made some fantastic saves to keep us in front.

Then came what felt like the longest few minutes ever… but the final whistle finally went! 😂🙌

Erin fitted into the team like she had been with us all along. Fantastic runs, creating chances, an assist and a hat-trick on her first game for Swifts! 👏⚽️

We can’t wait to see what the season holds for her!

What an amazing performance! 💪

Evie seemed to be everywhere today and was so strong in her battles, refusing to let the Woodhall girls get past her or push her around.

She made several fantastic runs into the box and was unlucky not to get a shot away. Even Craig commented on just how much her confidence has grown! 👏💙💛

A massive well done to every single girl today. ❤️

If the fight, determination and football we showed today are anything to go by, then we are in for a VERY exciting season! 🔥⚽️
