🏠 Home vs Horncastle Town FC

Our U10s were back at home this morning for their first home game of the new season — and what a game it was! 👏

It was a slow start from Town, with Horncastle dominating the early stages and finding the opening goal to take the lead.

Town soon settled into the game and started playing some lovely football. A great assist from Frankie found Robbie, who made no mistake in front of goal to bring us level before the end of the first quarter⚽️

Town came back out ready to go, and Robbie was soon on the scoresheet again to put Town ahead! 🔥

Horncastle continued to battle, but Town’s defence stood strong. Some brilliant passing and movement followed, with a superb assist from Leon setting up Robbie to complete his hat-trick! 🎩⚽️⚽️⚽️

The boys kept pushing as a team, and another great assist — this time from Jayson — found Robbie, who grabbed his fourth of the game.

Horncastle weren’t finished and continued to create some great chances, eventually finding a way through to pull one back. They kept the pressure on, and after a harsh challenge from the Town's defence, Horncastle were awarded a penalty which they converted.

The pressure was well and truly on! 😬

The boys responded brilliantly. Winning the ball back, the boys produced some impressive passing around the pitch before finding Robbie once again — and our number 20 made it FIVE! ⚽️🔥

Town continued to attack, with plenty of scrambles in the box, but Horncastle’s defence worked hard to keep us out.

Apparently five wasn’t enough for Robbie though… One final finish saw him find the back of the net for his SIXTH goal of the game! ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

A fantastic team performance from the Reds and, most importantly, our first win of the season! ❤️🤍

Absolutely solid in defence all game. He kept winning the ball back, worked tirelessly and never gave up. Brilliant performance! 👏

⚽️ Burgh Town Tournament ⚽️

The boys headed to Burgh Town FC at the weekend to compete in the Burgh Town Tournament.

The boys stepped up to play in the age group above for the tournament and were outstanding from start to finish. Every single player worked incredibly hard, showed great determination, and played some excellent football throughout the day.

After a fantastic run, we made it all the way to the final. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite our day, but we’re incredibly proud of the performance and effort shown by every one of the lads.

Congratulations to Alford Town Football Club on winning the tournament – thoroughly deserved. 👏

Thank you to Burgh for hosting such a fantastic tournament. It was a brilliantly organised event, and we all had a great day.

Really proud of the boys - the teamwork and determination they showed gives us plenty to be excited about as we look ahead to the new season.
