FULL TIME: AFC United Vets 5-5 Range Rover Cobra Vets 🐍

Only had 10 men available for this one and somehow still managed to battle out a draw… so we’ll absolutely take that. Another point on the board and it keeps us right in the mix for finishing 6th this season.

Massive shoutout to Dave Finch grabbing himself a goal, but his hold up play and link up work all game was different class as usual. Proper focal point up top and fully deserved the Man of the Match performance 👏

Considering this is Cobra Vets’ first season together, it’s been a quality year overall. Plenty of ups and downs, plenty of chaos 😂 but the lads have competed every single week and built something proper.

Plans for next season are already underway… and trust us, the Cobras won’t just be making up the numbers 🐍

🐍 MATCHDAY. ONE LAST RIDE.

Our debut season comes down to one final game as we travel to AFC United Vets this Saturday.

A few months ago we were rooted near the bottom, trying to find our feet, learning the league and probably giving opposition strikers a bit too much respect 😂

Fast forward to now and the Cobras have clawed it back to 6th place with one game still to play. Not bad for a bunch of lads in our first season together.

We beat AFC 4-3 earlier in the season after somehow turning a comfortable lead into a full-on panic attack for everyone watching 😅 so this weekend we’ll be looking to finish the job a little more professionally… maybe.

One last game.
One more battle.
One more chance to finish strong.

🚨 FULL TIME IN MADRID 🚨

Range Rover Cobra Vets 2-1 Real Madrid.

Good little midweek kickabout in Spain tonight against some local side called “Real Madrid.” Fair play to them, tidy little outfit, decent crowd, nice stadium… think they might go somewhere one day.

Gave the second team a run out to keep legs fresh, rested a few of the big hitters ahead of the real business this weekend. Madrid spent most of the game chasing shadows and asking for shirt swaps.

Nice to see the Cobra flags flying in the Bernabéu too 🐍

Anyway, enough of the Mickey Mouse European stuff…

Last game of the season for the Cobras tomorrow 🐍

What a turnaround this season has been. At the midway point we were sitting bottom of the table, but a massive second half of the season has seen us climb up to 6th place with one game still left to play. Not bad at all for our debut season together 💙🖤

We travel to AFC United Vets looking to finish strong and keep the good run going. The last time we met ended 4-3 to the Cobras in an absolute chaos game after we somehow let a 4-1 lead become nervy late on 😂

This time the aim is simple — improve on that performance, enjoy the football and end the season the right way.

PAYBACK. 😮‍💨🐍

After losing 1-0 at their place earlier in the season thanks to a cross-shot-assisted-by-the-wind™… the Cobras made sure there was no debate this time.

2-0. Controlled from start to finish.
Kept the ball. Won the battles. Got right into their heads.

By the second half Hoo spent more time moaning to the ref than touching the football. Every challenge was apparently a war crime according to them. 😂

Chris Thompson ran the midfield like he owned the pitch, bagged himself a goal, and picked up Man of the Match after dictating the game all afternoon. Different gravy. 👏

Special mention to Unpredictable Jim too… possibly his greatest ever performance on the line. Flag stayed mostly under control and somehow only upset BOTH teams equally. Outstanding scenes. 😂🚩

Another clean sheet. Another 3 points.

Just TWO games left now.
One more home game. Let’s finish strong 💙🖤

Today we welcome Hoo FC Vets to The Sittingbourne School in another big Veterans Division Four clash.

We faced Hoo earlier in the season and narrowly lost 1-0 away from home thanks to what may or may not have been the greatest “cross” ever seen 😂

But this Cobra side has come a long way since then.

After last week’s result our place in the league is secured, so today is all about enjoying our football, competing hard and showing again how much this team has improved over the course of our first season together 📈

No pressure. No fear. Just football.

A big performance in front of our own lads and supporters is the aim 💪

Back at home this weekend as we take on Hoo FC Vets 💪

We faced them earlier in the season away and came away on the wrong end of a 1-0… courtesy of a “cross” that somehow found its way in 👀😂

But a lot has changed since then.

After last week’s result, our place in the league is secured ✅
No pressure. No nerves. Just football.

We can go into this one playing our game, enjoying it, and showing how far we’ve come as a team this season 📈

Expect a good game, proper battle, and hopefully we put that “cross” right this time 😏

COBRAS 4️⃣-3️⃣ AFC UNITED VETS 🐍

Massive 3 points in a huge game and the lads showed serious character to get it over the line.

Going forward we looked dangerous all game, creating chances and finally being clinical when it mattered. AFC United kept coming and made it a proper battle, but the boys dug deep and found a way to win.

👏 Man of the Match goes to Dave Finch.

Top performance up front.
Held the ball up brilliantly, brought others into play, used his strength all afternoon and grabbed himself 2 quality finishes. A constant problem for their back line from the first whistle to the last.

Exactly the type of performance needed at this stage of the season.

We take on AFC United Vets — and this one means everything.

With 3 games left and playing them twice, this could decide it all. No hiding from it… pressure football.

Big one incoming.

We’re back this weekend against AFC United Vets — and this is as big as it gets.

Looking at the table, there’s barely anything between us… and with us playing them twice in the final 3 games, this mini run could decide everything.

No pressure… but everything on it 👀

A win here doesn’t just give us breathing room…
it makes us mathematically safe, with only bottom place going down.

That puts it firmly in our hands heading into the final games.

We’ve come a long way this season — first year as a team and improving every week. Now it’s about turning that progress into results when it matters most.
