We've smashed the season opener!

A 3-1 victory under our belts, thanks to the incredible goals from Jordan Butcher, Andrew Macgrath in the first half and Aden Woodcock scoring the winning goal. A brilliant start to the 25/26 season! 🔴⚫️

Yesterday we took on Gentlemen FC in the Junior Challenge Trophy and came away with a well earned 3-2 victory!

Here’s what manager Jordan Smith had to say about the result: “After conceding within the first 15 minutes, a goal that could’ve been dealt with in a number of ways, a clearance ended up with the gentleman gaining the upper hand, after the water break in 25th minute and bringing on substitute Aden woodcock, woodcoombe decided to wake up and play football in stages by scoring almost straight after the water break, we took the lead with nice swift touch and finish by Andrew Magrath then we decided to fall back asleep giving the gentlemen far to much time & respect on the ball in which they punished us again taking the game to 2-2, quick thinking by Jordan Forster to take throw in quickly while the gentlemen was asleep allowing Jordan spicer to break into the box before putting it on the plate for Andrew for his second goal which turned out to be the winner class bit of play by all involved, with the game 3-2 ticking into the final 5-6 minutes, the game was abandoned due to both teams and players acting stupidly and out of pocket. Disappointing way to end but a good result none the less”

Here is our current squad list going into the 25/26 season!

A lot of familiar faces resigning for the season with some new faces also coming in to bolster the side as we look to hit the ground running and have a strong season! 🔴⚫️

Fantastic way to start off our pre season with a 5-0 win in the heat against Swale United. Bit of a slow start chances wise with both teams figuring each other out until a great run by Jordan Forster won us a penalty which he calmly placed to the right of the goal. Minutes after we found momentum and a corner led to us going 2-0 up from a deflected own goal. Towards the end of the first half left back Aden played a lovely ball into Alex Forster who controlled and slotted the ball on the volley into the bottom corner making it 3. Momentum slowed early second half with tiredness slipping in but a quick bit of play from a first time pass from Alex into Josh allowed him to take a composed finish for 4-0. Minutes later midfielder Tom played a first time flick through to Jordan Butcher who slotted wonderfully at a tight angle to make it 5-0. The game eventually got called a tad early due to an incident with a United player but all the lads shook hands had a laugh and wished each other a good season. Overall a fantastic team performance from all the lads with some new faces also putting in good performances. Onto the next 🔴⚫️
