Well done Paul, after 1 up on the 1st to then go down in the next 2 holes, it was nip and tuck from there. At the turn Paul was 3 down, and Dan was playing well and not giving too much away. The 14th Paul won, and then down the 15th Dan hit monster drive leaving 127 yards to the green, Paul was out of position having to punch one sideways then hit a fantastic shot to the edge of the green, walked off with a 5 nett 4 and Dan missed a birdy chance as they halved the hole.
Paul won 16 and 17, taking it down 18 all square. Both had to take provisional balls off the tee, finding their first ball under the trees. Paul had a 5ft putt for a win and duly missed. Now facing extra holes
It was tight and the game came to a fitting finish on the 4th extra hole.
Well done Paul, and commiserations Dan, it was a great match to watch played in a fantastic spirit, golf was the winner today, great golf from both of the guys..
