I got asked the other day how a client can just loose fat in one area, so I thought this would be a good post!
It’s a well known myth that we can ‘Spot Reduce’ Fat!
If you are following a high protein nutritious diet along with workouts and been in a calorie deficit, you will loose body fat overall not in just one area!
So, while targeting specific body areas during exercise can be effective to build muscle and shape those areas, it won't necessarily help you lose fat in that specific area. Instead, you'll need to address your overall diet to reduce the amount of fat that is stored.
Men and women tend to store fat in different areas. The same can be said for different body types. Fat distribution can also change with age.
Genetics, hormonal factors, are some of the main factors that affect body fat distribution.
Everyone is different, everyone’s body is different !
No one really know what their body is capable of achieving. The only way to know how much you can change your body is to set goals and take consistent steps to reach them.
