Rugby Pirates

Rugby Pirates Rugby Pirates is a Rugby themed toddler activity/play group based at Sidcup RFC. All sessions are non-contact and use age appropriate equipment.

Aimed at 2 - 5 year olds the group uses a Rugby theme to help children develop fundamental movement patterns and co-ordination including running, jumping, catching, passing and kicking as well as social skills such as sharing, understanding instructions and making new friends. All coaches are suitably qualified, reference checked and insured. Saturday mornings from 9.45am to 10.45am. To book your

We are back!
But on a new day and time, and needing some help!

The plan is to restart Rugby Pirates from the beginning of September.
Sessions will move to Sunday mornings 9.15am - 10.15am, and will be suitable for children in School Nursery and Reception age groups, with potential for children as young as two years old to get involved.

But we need help...
For this to happen we are looking for some volunteer coaches (perhaps some parents) to get involved and assist with the “coaching”.
Full training, guidance and support will be provided.
You don’t need any previous rugby or coaching experience to get involved.

Additionally, there is also an opportunity for the right person to get involved and create a second income developing the programme and providing play sessions during the week.

If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Sunday morning volunteer “parent helper” or exploring some ideas around setting up midweek play sessions then please contact Chris Jones [email protected]

No Rugby Pirates for the time being.
We’ll refund anyone who had paid for this Saturday’s session in advance.

“Following government advice today, the RFU will suspend all rugby activity in England, at both professional and community level, including club training, league and cup matches plus rugby education courses from 17 March until 14 April subject to continued review.”

Ava and I found this bike on our Sunday ramble.
Left in an alley between Sidcup Place and Sidcup Hill.
We are presuming it was stolen then dumped.
Hoping to reunite it with it’s owner.

Dear all,

Just a quick update regarding Rugby Pirates sessions and the impact of Coronavirus.

We’ll follow government guidelines regarding whether we need to stop running sessions at some point in time, but in the meantime they will continue to run as normal.

However we totally understand that you may wish to stay away which, of course, is absolutely no problem.

This means two things;
1. for those who choose to attend as normal; be aware that the number of players attending MAY be less than normal but we’ll run some appropriate activities regardless and,
2. if you have paid in advance but choose not to come; let me know and I’ll happily refund you for the sessions you miss next time you come to a session.

Hope that helps and if you have any questions then providing they are not private & confidential please put them in the comments below,

All the best,
Chris
