Thank you from all at FC Nations.
As we close our 2025/2026 season, we reflect on our first campaign in Saturday football, which has been a season filled with great pride. Not only have we learned a lot about the competitive nature of our peers, but we have also seen how well our teams have performed in their respective leagues.
For the first team to finish 4th overall behind Dawley Town, Church Stretton and Ellesmere β all established clubs β is a huge achievement, and we believe we pushed them hard throughout the season. To top this off, we also enjoyed good cup runs, resulting in a fantastic Powell Cup win against another long-established club, Wrockwardine Wood then beating Ercall Rangers in the final. All in all, it has been a great start to the next step in FC Nationsβ future.
This success and growth would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our players, coaches, management and committee, and we thank them wholeheartedly for this. One individual we would like to thank specifically is the boss, Andrew Evans, who came into the club last summer and set the standards both on and off the field by improving the infrastructure and leading the first team to the success we have described. Andrew has set the club on a positive path and provided solid foundations for future progression and growth. Thank you, Evo, for your impact, commitment and enthusiasm.
As we begin putting plans in place for 2026/2027, we would like to announce that Evo will be stepping back from first-team management, and a new management team will be announced in due course. We are sure everyone associated with the club joins us in thanking Evo for starting this project, and we are excited to see the next stages of its journey.
Evo, thank you!
