Well it’s an end of an era for us as Shildon Institute FC. We’ve had some years down there even the jukebox has had enough but both have mutually accepted it’s time to move on, they’ve put up with some of the maddest lads come out of the town & never let us down but all good things come to an end unfortunately as we move onto the 26/27 season as Shildon Royal George Tavern FC.

Presentation day today for the Stute 🚂
Overall the season was abit of a slog but we got through it and finished 3rd. If it’s enough to get us promoted with Durham county folding we will have to wait and see.

The awards were:
Top Goalscorer- Jack Mortimer
Young player of the year - Keean Gillan
Commitee player of the year - Thomas Horner
Managers player of the year - Mark Parvin
Most man of the matches (stute d’or) - Jack Mortimer
Players player- Daniel Shoulder

Final game for us this season, we won 2-0 give all lads good minutes to finish the season. Finished 3rd which is a good season for us battled with injuries all season and had no keeper for 4 month😂 we go again next year 🚂🚂 thanks to all the sponsors who every year help us massively & anyone wanting to sponsor us for next season we are open if any local businesses want to join us.

Final game of the season for us, we play away to Kelloe. Unless we concede a John wades skip full of goals we will finish 3rd in the table, after the bad luck we’ve had we will take it & see what it brings once the season ends. 🚂

Our final home game ends in defeat went 1-0 up by far best side in first half but didn’t take our chances and 2 set pieces early 2nd half did us, 2 sides far from full strength but a good game against the champions, well done to houghton on been unbeaten. Final game of the season next week away to Kelloe after a nightmare season with injuries be glad to see the back of it and move onto next. 🚂
