Both these athletes pulled off huge times, as a coach I couldn’t be prouder. Here’s the journey…
CAM
Debut marathon. Some would argue sub 3:30 is too much of a reach for a debut.
Challenge accepted we said.
Niggles? We adapted.
Bad run? Didn’t matter, miles logged, we go again.
Injury scares? Physio and rehab it was.
Mindset? Nailed it.
Consistent? Very.
Race day - Cam pulled off a 3:29. Took the gels on time, carbed up well, paced it well and ran the race we imagined. Tough towards the end, but that’s the marathon.
A hugely dedicated and determined effort. As the owner of .community , this says a lot about what he’s building and his love for the game. Big W.

Where do we start…
If you follow .runs you’ll know the level.
IT band injury meant 9-10 weeks disrupted right when mileage should’ve been high. Goal was 2:50 to beat his 2:55 at York. The goal now was to just finish.
With only a few weeks to go, we focused on rebuilding confidence, mechanics and logging enough miles without pushing too hard.
3:01 on race day. Just 6 minutes off his PB from a compromised block. Huge result considering.
It’s not just about running. It’s mindset and grit when things don’t go to plan.
Both delivered on the day.
This is real running.
Adapting, overcoming, sticking at it.
You will always win in the end.
