POSED vs UNPOSED bodies
And what about them?
Well, the difference between them is that one typically consists of the person twisting/contracting/breathing into a certain position to accentuate different curves/muscles/more aesthetic parts of the body.... and the other is completely relaxed.
You typically see these posed bodies allllll over your favourite influencer's page, as well as on bodybuilder's pages too. They are posting something that will grab the attention of their followers, aligns with their page theme, and potentially to get across a certain view/story/opinion/piece of information.
The issue is.... The UNPOSED bodies get left out.
I get it, they're not as "pretty" to look at. They don't get people's attention. And when you're posting on social media, the entire POINT is to get people's attention.
But these unposed bodies are our natural beauty, our natural states of life.
It should be more normalised to see them.
As a coach who has lifestyle clients, this is the type of body I see on a regular basis. Relaxed.
I use this as data for visual changes and feedback on training and meal plans, sleep and recovery, stress and hormones, etc.
The amount of clients I get who are SCARED to send me photos because they're "ugly" "embarrassing" "I have rolls" "I have weird skin" "I have eye bags" "I haven't shaved my legs"
This SHOULDN'T be the case! And this NEEDS to be talked about.
What you see on social media is not what you see in person.
The person you are comparing to is not YOU, and you are not them.
