Sheffield, along with the rest of South Yorkshire, will move into the Very High Tier 3 alert category from 00:01am on Saturday 24 October. With this, there will be new restrictions which may affect your activity in Sheffield’s great outdoors. Gov info>> https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid-alert-levels-what-you-need-to-know

Meanwhile, our neighbours in Derbyshire remain in Tier 2, so be aware there are restrictions for movement between these different tiers.

We recognise this is tricky with a large part of our beloved right on the South Yorkshire-Derbyshire boundary.

We are awaiting further guidance from government and collaborating with land owners/managers, Peak District National Park and Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, as well as wildlife, conservation and recreation groups to provide further timely updates as we know more.

In the meantime please stay local and don’t visit businesses outside of South Yorkshire (pubs, cafes, shops etc), at a safe distance, leave no trace and look after our beautiful outdoor spaces.👍

Long overdue

Give cyclists full access to the public footpath network across the countryside. Obviously there will need a requirement to give walkers plenty of warning, via bells, of proximity. Walkers will ultimately have right of priority, however, mutual respect will be required!
