Next week is half term and Chesterfield Lawn Tennis Club will be hosting the Annual Derbyshire Junior Open Tennis Tournament during the daytime, Monday 26th – Saturday 31st May.
This is our County’s Annual Junior Open event, and is a high level tournament attracting players from all over the country!
During this week court 9 is available for booking during the daytime. Members are advised to book this court via reception or the app.
The Clubhouse will close after the last match on Bank Holiday Monday. Members are welcome to still play on Monday evening but please be aware that the Clubhouse will not be open.
Wednesday social will be taking place as usual and courts are available to book from 6pm during the evenings when the tournament runs. However, please be patient if the match before your booking overruns!
During the week of the tournament there will be no junior or adult coaching groups until 2nd June.
During the week of the tournament the club will be very busy during the day and the car park may be full, therefore members may need to part in the surrounding streets if you are visiting during the tournament hours; please park considerately during this time.
Matches are scheduled to take place between 8.30am and 6pm, however, the weather may mean late start times and some matches may continue beyond 6pm.
