Looking back at our first successful summer and what an amazing summer it was.

Firstly we would like to thank Hannah Cawley Labour Party candidate for Walkley Councillor Laura McClean and the rest of the team for inviting us down to Ruskin park festival where Hannah and the team managed to raise over £200 for the boxing gym.

As we continued our journey in keeping the youth active away from crimes gangs and drugs through boxing we also had the opportunity to take them on activities from Ladybower bike rides and walks to swimming in Rivelin river to bbqs, to watching boxing pros fight at the Doncaster Dome.

We have grown and will continue to grow even more in the coming years. Here’s a few pictures of the amazing summer we’ve had.

🥊 10 FREE Boxing Sessions for Young People! 🥊

YAFA – Youth and Family Alliance is proud to partner with B.A.S.E Boxing Academy to offer 10 FREE boxing sessions for new members of B.A.S.E Boxing Academy aged 10–18 years.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to: 💪 Build confidence 🥊 Learn boxing skills 🏃 Improve fitness 🤝 Make new friends 🌟 Develop discipline, respect, and self-belief in a safe and welcoming environment.

📅 Starts: Tuesday, 21st July 2026
🕕 Time: Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM
📍 Venue: 3 Tenter Street, Sheffield, S1 4BY
⏳ Duration: 10 sessions over 10 weeks

⚠️ Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

This programme is completely FREE and is open to new members only.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, it really means a lot to us. We’re proud to be building something positive for the young people in our community and giving them a place to train, grow and stay focused.
A big thank you as well to you, Councillor Laura McClean and Councillor John Wright for your support and funding towards the new equipment. It has made a real difference already.

This is only the start for BASE Boxing Academy and we’re excited for what’s ahead!! 👊🥊
