🏏 MIDWEEK XI MATCH REPORT 🏏

Hollinsend Methodist CC Midweek XI fell to a 6-wicket defeat against Waverley CC Midweek XI despite posting a competitive 100/6 from our 12 overs.

After losing early wickets, the innings was rebuilt through contributions from James Evans (10), Ben Williams (11) and George Ashworth (13). The standout performance came from Raza Basheer, who produced a superb unbeaten 44 from just 22 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 200, helping us reach the three-figure mark. Isaac Mullins remained unbeaten on 1 as Hollinsend finished on 100/6.

Defending 101, Hollinsend made Waverley work for their runs, taking four wickets during the chase. Thomas Evans was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets, while Atticus Tomlinson and Isaac Mullins claimed a wicket apiece. Despite the effort in the field, Waverley reached their target on 101/4 after 9.3 overs.

👏 A special mention to Raza Basheer for his match-defining knock and to Thomas Evans for leading the bowling attack.
