There is a pickleball session for everyone in Sheffield

From beginner sessions and mixed-ability social play to improver and intermediate groups, our volunteers host a wide range of opportunities across the city each week.

The map shows just how many places you can get involved, with sessions running at more than 20 venues across Sheffield.

Outdoor sessions are only £3.50, with indoor sessions typically £5–£6.

Whether you are completely new to the game, looking for a regular session, or would like to help us grow pickleball by volunteering, you will be very welcome.

What a brilliant day at the Olympic Legacy Park’s Legacy in Action event on Sunday.

Pickleball was non-stop for five hours, with all three courts busy and queues of people ready to have a go. It was fantastic to introduce so many children, families and first-time players to the game, with plenty of fun rallies, laughter and people playing together.

A huge thank you to our brilliant volunteers Joanne, Abra, Catherine, Alan, Jess and Caroline for helping make the day such a success. We could not have done it without you.

We loved being part of such a positive event and cannot wait to welcome more people onto the pickleball court soon!

And we’re off!

Our 12-Hour Charity Pickleball Day has officially started at Hallam Community Hall, raising money for St Luke’s Sheffield’s Hospice.

We’ve kicked things off with our first hour of pickleball, with music from The Beatles setting the tone for the day 🎶

A huge thank you to everyone already on court, supporting, donating and helping make the day happen.

There’s plenty more pickleball, music, cake, drinks and social time to come throughout the day — including our club social from 2–5pm.

Let’s keep the energy going and make it a brilliant day for a brilliant cause 💙

On Sunday 17th May, we’re coming together at Hallam Community Hall for a full day of pickleball, music, cake, drinks and community — all in support of St Luke’s Sheffield’s Hospice.

There are still a few £5 one-hour slots available, with all money going to St Luke’s:

If you’re looking for more chances to get on court this spring and summer, Sheffield Pickleball Club has outdoor social pickleball sessions at Thorncliffe Tennis Club, alongside our outdoor options at Bingham Park.

Our Thorncliffe sessions are a great way to get active, enjoy the fresh air and play in a friendly, welcoming environment.

We’re excited to be bringing the Sheffield Pickleball Club community together for our SPC Spring Festival on Sunday 17th May at Hallam Community and Youth Association.

This will be a special day for the club, with a great mix of pickleball, music, food and social time, all while raising money for St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice.

From 8am–8pm we’ll be running a 12-hour musical charity pickleball event, with our main club social taking place from 1pm–5pm. There’ll also be:

🎾 Come and try pickleball
🎶 Live music from Embers Acoustic Duo at 2pm and 4pm
🍰 Refreshments and shared cakes
📚 Book stall
👥 Plenty of chances to play, watch, chat and enjoy the day together

Whether you’re a regular at club sessions, newer to the game, or just fancy coming along to support a great cause, we’d love to see you there.
