Even yoga teachers can’t do every pose… and that’s kind of the point 😊

My dodgy knees don’t allow me to do lotus or many kneeling poses and I have never ever been able to fold flat in a seated wide-legged bend! There are also many other yoga poses that don’t look like they are ’supposed to’ when I attempt them!

Yoga isn’t about perfect shapes or ticking off poses. There’s no gold star ✨for the most flexible person in the room! Yoga is about listening to your body, working with what’s there, and showing up just as you are 🪷
So let’s let go of the idea of “getting it right.” Your version of the pose is the right one 🥰

Sometimes I just want a really gentle way to wake up my body in the morning (or any time of day really!) and this is my go-to sequence. Repeat it a few times moving with your breath to feel most benefit!

Downward Dog 🐶 Love it or hate it, it’s one of those shapes that comes up in so many yoga classes!
For many years I found it a struggle to hold Downward Dog for more than a few breaths. My arms and shoulders would physically shake! But now, with a few small tweaks to my technique I actually do enjoy it (honest!). Let me know how you get on with these tips!
