Core compression drills 🌿🔥
Core compression is such an important — and often overlooked — part of yoga and movement practice. It helps create lightness, control & stability.
🌿Hanging knee tucks: try to bring the legs as close to the chest as possible, and retain slightly at the top, for maximum compression
🌿Side-to-side hanging knee tucks: same but using the oblique muscles
🌿Hanging leg raises: ascend and descend with control and without rush. This is also an excellent exercise to strengthen hip flexors.
🌿Navasana hold: press knees towards the chest and hold for 10 breaths
🌿Extended-leg navasana hold: emphasise the compression by pressing knees towards the chest and hold for as many breaths as possible 😅
They look simple… but they build serious strength🔥
