Well, we didnt start too well but we got the job done!

The second half of our bowling made up for our first. It just took the brilliance of Mat to spur the team on!

We batted very well, and ultimately no major errors saw us come out on top.

For providing the turning point of an excellent caught and bowled, and some very restrictive bowling in general, Mat won the captains player of the match.

Well done to our Ravens for making it 1 all against Tale Millers for the season.

🏏 Matchday at Home
This Friday we welcome Tale Millers for a village friendly, with the team looking to put things right after a tough defeat a couple of weeks ago.
A huge thank you to our volunteer ground staff, who’ve been hard at work getting the pitch and outfield looking as fresh as possible. The ground is ready, the team is ready — now it’s time to enjoy a great afternoon of cricket.
Come down, show your support, and enjoy some proper village cricket. 🌿🏏

The weather may not be on our side, but we’re going ahead tomorrow — Saturday 6th — against Not the MCC!
We’ll play as much cricket as the skies allow, and most importantly… the bar will be open. 🍻

Result didn’t go our way on Friday, with the Branscombe Ravens falling short against Tale Milers on their home turf.
But what a cracking evening for cricket: a fab setting, great spirit, and plenty to take from the match. Big thanks to Tale Milers for the hospitality — we’ll regroup and go again on Saturday and Sunday.
