The U9 had their final game of the summer league today to finish of the summer fixtures ready for the league starting next month.
The blues were up against chester-le-street Pinks, a side weve seen play across from us a few times but our sides have never met before now.
Seaham was well up for the game despite the rain and miserable weather and we opened up the game with a great goal from Jude who ran his socks off all game, not long after chester managed to grab one back, we thought we were going to have a very back and forth game, but Jude again took the ball went on a run danced around the opposition and put us back in the lead.
Jude then turned from scorer to provider and sent a great ball into the box and found louie who hit it first time full stretch of the foot and found the back of the net to take the game away from the Pinks, louie put in a great performance and never stopped all game.
Chester got themselves another goal after some very questionable decisions once again from the referee but thats another story 🙈
Not wanting to allow Chester back to get back into the game the Blues hit second gear, after a quick sub to put Joe back on he wasnt even on the pitch 10 seconds and found himself on the scoresheet, again playing in different positions today he done fabulous at either end of pitch never giving up.
Hugo then pushed up the pitch from his defensive position and found himself right in the right place and managed to grab himself a goal aswell to make it 5, hes absolutely solid at the back but also knows when to push and stretch the opposition to get goals himself without leaving us bare at the back.
After a foul on our player being grabbed round the neck and held in a headlock he pushed off their player and the ref gave the freekick to the opposition 🤦♀️ given Chester another chance to attack they managed to grab themselves a 3rd goal.
With the frustrations starting to show from very questionable decisions seaham kept their cool and put there focus on playing the right way, this saw Theo get the ball up into the final 3rd a few deflected shots and then the ball found Joe who made no mistake and buried the ball in the net one last time to make it 6 for the blues.
Everyone played amazingly well keeping their composure and playing the right way not letting any frustrations get the better of them and let their football do the talking.
An outstanding effort from our number 1 Oliver who almost scored from his own box but sadly found the opposition crossbar what a hit it was. Class in goal again doing the team proud.
Theo played in a few different positions today and ran non stop never left a ball pass him without chasing it down. Creating some good counter attacks and linking up with Jude and Joe.
An above solid performance and a well deserved win for the final game for the Blues
