The blues swapped their training this week for something else, so no video challenge, however they ended up with an actual challenge ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that was learning how to ski โ›ท๏ธ
Followed by some great fun tubing, and of course our end of season awards for their first ever football presentation night.
Massive well done to each and every player who has put their all into this season, they've learned so much and progressed fantastically for their first seasons together, were immensely proud of every player, also a massive thank you to all the parents for your continued support throughout the season.

Last week the Blues took on the challenge of "bring something interesting" that no one else would bring, we had some great items brought along, a lot of the players didn't think the snake skin was real though ๐Ÿค” it was definitely real, as was the fox skull ๐Ÿ˜ฒ not sure if we beleive Louies story about the real shark tooth ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.
No training this week so no challange as we are heading out for a surprise activity tonight for the blues for their first ever presentation night to mark the end of their first season.

This morning the U8's stepped out for the first friendly of their journey as U9's against another local seaham club

The game didn't get off to the best of starts with only having 5 players and no goalkeeper, but our U7's player Evan stepped up and stepped in goal today, he done a great job, great distribution and awareness, its never easy stepping in goal so big well done Evan.

We didnt quite get straight into the game from the whistle going, this resulted in us going into the half time break 4-1 down, but this didn't reflect the teams performance they put in.
Quick chat at half time, a slight change in players positions and they went back out with a bit of hunger to try and get the next goal and build from it.
Boy did they achieve that, we got the next goal and the teams belief came flooding back, we were definitely switched on and played some great football with such joy, the passing, defending and attacking was second to none.
Luke as always done a solid job working box to box tirelessly never letting a single ball go, I dont think there was a single part of the pitch he didnt cover today, and his efforts were rewarded by grabbing himself 6 goals and three assists
Louie was great today grabbing 2 goals with two Assists, each week he out-does his own previous performance and always strives to be better, he was strong, confident and very calm on the ball under pressure, keeping the pressure on the opposition and forcing mistakes to regain possession.
Leo scored his first goal for the club on his debut with a couple of Assists too, he fit right in and done a solid job in defence, but he definitely has an attacking mind and drove the ball up the field everytime to get us in a good position.
Skyla done a grand job keeping their strikers at bay, piling on the pressure and not giving them a chance to have a go at goal, almost hitting the back of the net but it wasnt ment to be today, but instead provided some great attacking through balls and passes to assist the others. we probably could of had a few more goals but the opposition keeper done a remarkable job.

A definite game of two halves, Evan came to life in the second half only conceding one goal and taking away POTM ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
Louie was also voted POTM he had a solid game and his confidence and game knowledge is getting stronger each game ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

What an absolute unreal day the blues had on sunday, we partnered up with with Seaham coast Ladies and joined them at their cup final game against Shildon AFC, the blues didn't half turn up with the noise, full of cheer and huge support for our lasses, we were almost set for the win but then Shildon equalised, a sense of quietness hit Nortons ground, and nerves started to show amongst the supporters, both teams held on valiantly, then the final whistle came meaning one thing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the game was heading to a penalty shootout ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

The lasses got their heads together, held their nerve, kept the pressure at bay and stayed focused, they headed out strong with one goal in mind to do the double after they already secured winning the league, and like the true legends that they are they accomplished exactly what they wanted, they only went and done the double came out very deserving winners

An absolutely incredible season.

The noise from the blues was immense, but surprisingly deathly quite when the penalties were been taken, they showed excellent behaviour and respect so credit to the parents ๐Ÿ‘

We all headed off to the cricket club after to get lost in the celebrations we had so much fun, thank you for having the lads along they loved every minute of it and will remember that day for a long time im sure ๐Ÿฅฐ

The first of many fun little game challenges after our alphabet one ended. And we only had 1 dupe!
