The final game of the 2026 season went right down to the wire as our 1st XI travelled to Bourne for a huge top-of-the-table clash.

In a rain-affected contest, Bourne posted 137 all out, with Callum Mann (3/33),Tom Shephard (3/35) and Harry Doyle (2/17) leading the way with the ball.

In reply, STCC battled hard but were eventually bowled out for 126, falling just 9 runs short on DLS. Ben Conroy top-scored with a fantastic 37, supported by Sam Jarvis (23) and PK (22).

Despite the result, it has been a fantastic season for the 1st XI, finishing the campaign as LEAGUE RUNNERS-UP ๐Ÿฅˆ

A huge congratulations to Bourne CC, who are deservedly crowned league champions. ๐Ÿ‘

To everyone who has represented, supported and backed the 1st XI throughout the season โ€” thank you. The commitment, effort and support has been outstanding.

Now itโ€™s time to put the feet up, recharge and start looking aheadโ€ฆ

Everyone at the club wishes Ben Conroy a very happy birthday today! Ben has played an integral role in the 1st XI this year with plenty of valuable contributions throughout the year at the top of the order. He has also been brilliant in helping our younger players gain experience on Sundays and Thursdays and is a great role model of what it means to be a player at STCC!๐ŸŸขโšซ

And who can forget, ECB Premier League Champion and part of our Treble-winning junior side of 2019!๐Ÿ†

Last night, STCC Members and players had a great evening at Pritam's Punjabi Grill to celebrate our incredible overseas PK and his wife Harshi, who head back to India this evening! ๐ŸŸขโšซ

Of course, PK has had a brilliant season recording brilliant numbers with the bat, ball and in the field, but most importantly he is a brilliant person who has not only had a huge impact on the history of our club in the short time he has been here but an even bigger impact on our members and all those at the club he has come into contact with.

Both PK and Harshi have taught us all so much and have perfectly embodied everything STCC is about, they have fitted right into our family and have made memories never to be forgotten.

Everyone at the club is extremely grateful for all of your efforts over the season and those lucky enough to have played and trained with/watched you go about your cricket and life in general have learnt so much.

Thank you for this season PK and Harshi, from all of us at STCC, and we hope to see you again in 2027!

2nd XI Team News ๐Ÿ

The 2s Travel to Caistor for their penultimate game of the season tomorrow๐Ÿ’ช

Due to unavailability this weekend it is a much changed side than the XI which was meant to face Haxey in a rained off game a fortnight ago. However, despite the changes the side is still full of quality and match winners who will be looking to get the job done against Caistor.

It wasnโ€™t to be for the 3rd XI as they fell to a 14-run defeat against Messingham in a closely fought contest.

Messingham posted 172/8 from their 45 overs, with the STCC bowling attack battling hard throughout. Dalton (2/38), Ilyas (1/15) and Sachin (1/18) were among the wickets as the hosts restricted Messingham to a competitive total.

In reply, STCC were bowled out for 158 in 44 overs, falling just short of the target. Ilyas top-scored with an excellent 43 from 59 balls, while Callum (18) and Ayaan (18) also contributed with the bat.

A frustrating result after putting up a strong fight, but plenty of positives to take from the performance.

The 3rd XI will look to bounce back strongly in their next fixture and finish the season on a high.
