Scarborough Sirens 0-3 Bridlington Town Ladies AFC

Disappointing day in the office today as we struggled to get going from the outset. Despite showing glimpses with the odd shot and a crucial goal-line clearance to keep us in the game, we never quite found our rhythm.
Brid managed to get the better of us shortly after half-time, breaking the deadlock before adding two quick goals that put the game beyond reach.
With it being the final game of the season, a few changes were made to give players valuable minutes, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to turn things around on the day.

The sirens have had a brilliant first season in the East Riding County League hopefully doing enough to secure 4th place, which is a great improvement from last season. We’ve had multiple changes in management and we’ve added new ladies to our ever growing squad.

We now rest for a couple of months before we prepare for the season ahead 🙂

Our little sick note who can’t go a game without some sort of injury but that just shows how determined and involved Chloe is. Chloe showed some great football and link up plays in centre mid and just an all round consistent performance.

Scarborough Sirens 1-2 Holme Rovers Ladies

From kick off Sirens were knocking on the door to be the first to put the ball in the back of the net but unfortunately that is the story for the rest of the game.

It was a tough and frustrating game. Think it’s fair to say we could have been better but I think it was just one of them days where there was an invisible protection sheet across their goal.
Unfortunately we just couldn’t get that ball in the back of the net.

Holme went 2-0 up just after half time, The Sirens made a few changes and didn’t take their foot off the gas, resulting in a consolation goal from Amelia Breckon.

Despite the score - The Ladies put in a good shift and there was some lovely football played across the whole pitch.

Over this last season it has proven what an unbelievable dynamic duo this pair are.

Anna showed excellent control and determination throughout the game, creating key opportunities and maintaining strong composure under pressure. Her work rate and smart decision-making helped drive the team forward and kept the opposition on the back foot.

Danielle was equally impressive, demonstrating great skill, vision, and teamwork. She played a crucial role in both attack and defense, contributing important plays at key moments in the match. Her ability to read the game and support her teammates made a significant difference.
