Hello! Hope this is OK to post!

My name is Hayley and in April I am tackling the London Marathon for a charity that means alot to me on a personal level.

In 2021/2022 I lost both my parents 204 days apart. I wasn't even 30 yet and my whole world up ended itself. It's been very dark few years. Eventually I hit rock bottom, I was so lost and afraid of life.

I realised that very little provision exists for grievers outside certain niches. Sue Ryder actually did care for my dad as an impatient prior to his death. The staff I often think are angels on earth side. Nothing was too much.

Sue ryder not only looks after our loved ones but also provides free counselling and resources for those bereaved. From 1-1 sessions to grief cafes. Making sure no one ever feels they need to survive this along.

Im not a natural runner, so it's going to be a hell of a slog, but it's nothing compared to the journey I've already been on.

Our raffle is in full swing at Knotts of Tempsford!

Tickets are £1 a strip - prizes can be viewed in the shop and tickets can be purchased at the counter.

I have some beautiful prizes which have been donated and thanks to the generosity of the businesses in our local area we also now have the chance to win a £50 cash prize and another chance to win £50 john Lewis voucher

📢📣 Call for raffle prizes 📣📢

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Some of you may know I am running London Marathon in April for Sue Ryder.

We are currently looking into holding a few fundraising events at Knotts Of Tempsford

We are looking firstly to hold a raffle, I have already had some lovely things donated but looking to expand so we can offer more people a chance to win a prize

If you are in a position to donate a prize, I can collect at evenings or weekends. Alternatively you can drop them into Knotts of Tempsford on the days they are open.

We are also looking to hold a community type market with a small donation for stall holders to be hosted at the farm. If you have a small or local business and would be interested in having a stall, please let me know so I can try to work out numbers/dates.

Hello 👋

My name is Hayley and in 2026 I am running the London Marathon for Sue Ryder.

I lost both my parents 7 months apart in 2021 and 2022 with Sue Ryder St John's Hospice providing my dad's care for his final few weeks of life.

Sue Ryder doesn't only provide hospice, pallative care, restbite care and many other therapies for those in need but provides free grief services for those who have been left behind.

Grief is extremely isolating, confusing and scary. What drew me to Sue Ryder is how they create a non judgemental place where grievers can be open and honest without fear of judgement or worrying about stigma.

Here's where you come in, all these services safe offered free to those who require it but as we all know, this means funding has to come from somewhere!

I would really appreciate if if you can donate to support me/Sue Ryder.

I am also collecting raffle prizes and have a sponser a mile about to be released once I can make the poster count up to 26 miles!

Hoping to attend this in a few weeks! I can't say enough about this beautiful charity.

When I did the starlight walk they had the most beautiful memory little memorial, I didn't stop because I'd unfortunately rubbed my ankle and didn't want to stop moving but even just walking past gave me a sombre moment of reflection.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - life gets busy and I get super easily overwelmed

The autumn/winter brings back alot of feelings, four years ago we were aiming for Christmas knowing it would likely be the last as a family. The cold and dark nights bring alot of nostalgia back to that time and it's something I still struggle with to this day...

One thing learning to grieve that I openly have struggled with is learning to let myself feel it and accept it happened. It's not come easy to me as I am very much the type to bury my head in the sand over feeling the pain that losing my dad left me with.

This is one reason why Sue Ryder means alot to me personally, Sue Ryder is working to destigmatise grief and the surrounding feelings. Letting people feel more comfortable to speak up.

I am working on a few raffles and events coming up and I will keep you informed ❤️

For all those going through the loss of a loved one, you are valid and I see you.
