Just a brief note to thank all those who played in the Bank Holiday Tennis Tournament today.
Eighteen players is a great number. Thanks to Matt Womack for terrific job in organising. Congratulations to John Digesso on his win, twenty three games, followed by tea and home made cakes. A great day’s tennis!

Great fun at Pickleball on Sunday.

Apart from social sessions, once a month we have a club league session open to all members. Adam is currently top of the league, well done to him. Thanks to Mark for scoring and taking photos of the action!

We had great fun on Tuesday evening at the regular pickleball social session. The weather was perfect for pickleball!

At one point we had 15 members there. We keep games short so we can all mix in and play different people. Plenty of seating for people to have a chat and a water break between games.

The Little Aces tent is back up 🥳
Preparations are underway for a fabulous spring/summer for local under 5’s and their parents/caregivers to attend this colourful, fun and friendly outdoor playgroup on the grounds of our club.

It was a lovely afternoon and great fun for everyone who attended. Congratulation to Shelina who won the event, and Adam who came second.

Introducing the newest tennis event at SVLTC - The ESC Championships!

The ESC (Every Shot Counts) Championships is the latest initiative to integrate junior and adult members whilst recapturing and reimagining social and competitive tennis. Through the formation of drafted teams, juniors and adults will work together to win as many points as possible across 3 meets. The team with the most points at the end of the 3 meets will be the inaugural Champions.

The 3 meets will have differing formats and point scoring methods that the teams will need to show their teamwork and collaboration in order to do their very best with every single shot. This is why Every Shot Counts!

The first meet is taking place on the 29th March at 2PM where teams will be drafted, team names created and the tennis will be timed rounds of 10 minutes with tiebreak scoring. Each round will differ with bonus points available.

We look forward to seeing you on court for the very first ESC Championships come 29th March, 2PM. There is a £5 signup for the 3 meets which will be reinvested into the club.
