After the bank holiday break, we are back with a regular game week of fixtures in the region.
Division 5: Unfortunately, for reasons out of their control, the first two fixtures are postponed.
One of the highlight fixtures of the weekend will be the first ever Plymouth Derby where the host the in the Ocean City Derby. In the other surviving fixture, the Thunder visit the Pistols.

We are one month away from our first Tiverton Baseball Club Youth Session!

Come and join us on Friday 12th June at Sampford Peverell Cricket Ground from 5pm - 6:30.

Children from the ages of 8-14 years old are welcome to take part. The first session is free with all equipment provided. After that the cost will be £3 per session with all the money going to growing the club as it will be run purely by volunteers.

On that note, if you are able to help out with the running of the club, we need to create a committee as soon as we can. If you're interested in any role in the club, please get in touch 👍

On SATURDAY 18th JULY we will be hosting an open day for our new YOUTH baseball team - THE EXETER SEA BEES!

Named for the US Navy baseball team that played in the European Baseball Championships in 1945 at Exeter City FC at St. James' Park. Our youth initiative will strive to invoke the same indomitable spirit!

Come along and learn how to play baseball, as well as the skills behind Batting, Catching, Pitching and Throwing.
Open to all children going into year 7 and over. Fun in the sun and a real American Hot Dog Stand on site.

More youth opportunities...

YOUTH BASEBALL IS BACK!
Here. We . Go!
We are about to start our youth sesssions for the season. Sessions will run at Taunton Green from 5pm on Tuesdays for anyone aged 4 - 14.
Children aged 4-8 can take part in T-Rex T-Ball which is a specialised schemed aimed at getting oung children to: Hit. Catch. Throw and Roar! and who doesn't like dinosaur-based anything?!
For older children we offer a mixture of coach-pitch and Little League - further developing throwing, catching and hitting skills and getting into gameplay.
There has never been a better time for getting into baseball as there are multiple events around the region where children can participate in Mix and Match games joining other children in the region to play fun, competitive baseball games.

CATCH UP RESULTS
Two fixtures today which were postponed from earlier in the season.
In Division 5 the New Forest Thunder Knights continued their fantastic start to the season by sweeping the Whirlwinds Baseball Club on the road. In game one The Thunder registered 19 hits with Sam Williams both collecting 5 RBIs off 3 hits.
Game 2 was a much closer affair. The Whirlwinds got off to a great start and were leading 6-4 after 2 innings with Jason Tew collecting 5 RBIs in just two at bats with a two-run double and a home run to deep left-centre. But The Thunder rallied with Doug Sutherland coming in to relieve and only allowing two hits for the remaining two innings and he also hit an RBI double to secure the win.
In Division 3 the Merlins I took Game 1 against the Bats with a dominant, individual display from S***a Manabe who not only collected 2 hits and 3 RBIs but also threw a complete game - only allowing 4 hits and collecting an astonishing 15 Ks which included him throwing an immaculate inning at the top of the 4th - striking all 3 batters out with only 9 pitches!
Game 2 was a different story and a different outcome with Luca McCurdy hitting a home run to deep left field and getting 3 RBIs from 2 hits. His brother, Noah collected the win from the mound - throwing 3 innings and only allowing 1 hit. A great day for manager Rod McCurdy and the family!
