What a fabulous day yesterday enjoying the beautiful sights of Paris at the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris another marathon in the bag and such fun making amazing memories with friends. We even stopped at 25.66 miles to get a selfie with the Effiel Tower behind us, had to be done 🀩.

Saw lots of Paris I had never seen before as a tourist like Chateau Vincennes and beautiful parks with tree lined roads. It was a warm very humid day and it was very well organised with buckets full of water to splash over yourself to keep cool every 5k. I got lots of video footage on the way round so will create a little reel, the music / entertainment and vibe as you go round was such fun!

LOVED it - our first bit of marathon tourism!

Waving goodbye to 2023 πŸ‘‹ and hello to 2024 πŸ‘‹ ! Here are a few memorable snaps from 2023, hard to choose as I had so many. I have been so lucky to get to the mountains a lot in 2023, I ran a marathon in April and have enjoyed many adventures with friends, family and clients. πŸ‘€ looking forward to 2024 and more adventures. πŸŽ‰

Looking for some walking motivation ?

πŸŽ„πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I do Run up to Christmas every year as part of my running club team, you run or walk as many miles as you can between 1-24 December - it needs to be recorded on their website - I just link to Strava. Great motivation for getting moving during the festive season! πŸŽ„

Run Up to Christmas πŸ‘ˆ this is their page where you can get all info if up for it. I don’t get commission, I am just giving a nudge to people who want to get moving and fit for 2024, start early get those steps in and beat the Xmas Excess!! πŸŽ…

This year I even got the bobble hat πŸ‘‡πŸ˜œπŸŽ„!

Recent walk with these lovely ladies at the end of October. Heel was sore after needed a bit of stretching, it is taking a long time and I am soooo impatient 😬😐. Now I am having NHS physio only started this week it has been a bit of a wait. I have managed to run up to 5k which was last Sunday. My focus is getting running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ distances again as I have a place in Paris Marathon in April 2024 and training starts in December. I need to build a lot of fitness back up, I have kept up with strength training once a week πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ , physio says I need to do this twice a week. More walking to build back in to recovery. I am so looking forward to getting out in the mountains again and maybe even Dartmoor over the winter. I am going to have to watch the load on my foot during marathon training. Hope to be back soon!! πŸŽ’ πŸ₯Ύ

πŸŽ’πŸ₯Ύ Fancy getting out in the fresh air on the Jurassic Coast and ticking off a section of the South West Coastal Path?

➑️ 2 spaces left for walking weekend Saturday 22 July and Sunday 23 July, approx 10 miles each day, you can book one day for £20 or both for £40 (accommodation, snacks, lunch not provided, you are welcome to join me camping for £10 per night, if spaces, PM me for campsite details)!

NEW SOCIAL WALK ALERT join us on a social walking weekend on the jurassic coast and you get to tick off a section of the South West Coastal Path!!

πŸ₯Ύ Saturday 22 July - day 1: A circular walk taking in the iconic Durdle Door arch and three of the big roller coaster hills of the jurassic coastline. There is the bonus of a cafe half way round too!

πŸŽ’ Sunday 23 July - day 2: A circular walk of the perimeter of Portland, which is totally different walk taking in the exterior of the prison, an old stone quarry with carvings and of course Portland Bill, where there is a lovely cafe to grab a drink and ice cream.

You can book both days for Β£40 per person, it doesn't include accommodation though Weymouth is a good central point. I will be camping πŸ• if you want to join me!! You will need to bring food/drink and snacks for each day. If you need transport to the start from Weymouth let me know as I can organise lift shares.

The walk leader is Lowland qualified, insured and holds a current first aid certificate.

It’s Friyay and this photo is of me on Monday in the wind and 🌧️ at a Ropework Refresher course for the ⛰️ Mountain Leader qualification. It was a great confidence booster and in my mind πŸ™‰ I had totally over complicated it since my training course last June and had a great instructor this week to go over it all again with lots of time to practise !! What a contrast of a week for me, been sat in front of my laptop πŸ’» for the rest of the week, I haven’t even managed to get out for a run πŸ™ˆ!!
