Not the result we were hoping for, but credit to Moorfield for a solid performance. We fought hard right until the final whistle, but mistakes cost us at key moments. 🔵🟡 What a fantastic session we had last night! 🤩🟡🔵

We had the absolute honour of welcoming Matty Smith and Rich Owen down to work with and watch our lads. Both are highly respected figures in the game, bringing years of top-level experience, great rugby knowledge, and a real passion for helping the next generation improve. Having them share their tips, insights, and expertise was something the players really appreciated.

We are so incredibly grateful to them both for giving up their valuable time to come down and get involved. It meant the world to everyone — and it was especially rewarding to hear them comment on what a great bunch of lads we have: hardworking, respectful, and a pleasure to be around.

The lads loved every minute of the session, and even Jack and Phil couldn’t resist getting stuck in and joining in at the end 😂

We made home advantage count with a strong 28-14 victory over Westhoughton Lions in the Plate competition.

Tries: Radley (2), Kaylum, Leo, Kayden
Conversions: Eddie (4)

A great all-round performance — tough defence, smart attacking play, and clinical finishing sealed the win. The lads wore the jersey with pride and fully deserved the result.

Westhoughton never let their heads drop and kept fighting right until the final whistle. The defence stood firm when it mattered most, with everyone putting their bodies on the line and working for each other, just as you want to see.

🟡🔵🏉 A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 🏉🔵🟡

What made last night so special? It wasn’t just what happened on the pitch — it was the brilliant atmosphere and having so many family and friends there together to enjoy every minute, even though Saints didn’t get the result we all hoped for! ❤️🤍

From coaches and players, to parents, grandparents, siblings and mates — we had a massive crew travelling over to Headingley, all cheering loud, sticking together, and proud to be part of Clockface Miners no matter what the scoreboard said. 🚌👏

Laughs, chats, memories made, and that brilliant feeling when you’re all on the road and all behind the team. It really showed what our club is all about — family, friendship and togetherness, first and foremost. 🤝✨

To everyone who came along, supported, and made the trip such a happy, buzzing occasion — thank you! You helped make it a night none of us will forget, result or not. 💪💙💛

🟡🔵🏉 WHAT A NIGHT AT HEADINGLEY! 🏉🔵🟡

What an incredible evening we had travelling over to Leeds Rhinos Headingley, last night with three of our Clockface Miners teams — U8s, U12s and U14s! 🚌✨

Our U12s and U14s represented the club brilliantly, standing pitch side proudly bearing the flags and showing exactly what our club stands for. 🚩👏

And our youngest stars, the U8s? Absolute legends — they took to the famous turf at half time to play, experiencing the big stage and making memories that will last a lifetime. ✨🏟️

Every single player was a credit to the club: they were so well behaved and wore their kits with immense pride from start to finish — a true reflection of what Clockface Miners is all about. 💪🔵🟡

A massive, huge thank you goes to Ogden’s Travel for providing the two coaches that got us there and back safely. We had the best drivers — helpful, friendly and brilliant with all the kids. It was so special to hear their kind words too — they told us it was “a privilege to take the teams”… honestly, that means the world to us and is amazing to hear. 🙏🚌

Thank you to every player, coach, volunteer and family member who travelled, cheered loud, and helped make this such a special occasion. You all did us proud!
