πŸŽ‰ Yesterday we had a jam-packed day at St Austell Leisure Centre to celebrate Learning Disability Week 2026!

β„Ή Workshops, information and gym tours were on offer throughout the day.

πŸ“ One of the highlights was lots of people taking part in the table tennis taster session - thank you to St Austell Table Tennis Club for leading this.

🀩 Another big thank you to everyone who attended, took part and supported the event. An amazing turnout of over 70 people throughout the day.

A huge thank you to The Clare Milne Trust for awarding funding enabling us to continue and develop our Inclusive dance sessions for adults with disabilities.

The Clare Milne Trust provides grant funding to charities who support people living with disabilities in Devon and Cornwall. Since 1999 The Clare Milne Trust has awarded over 12 million in order to transform the lives of people with disabilities.

This allows us to continue the great work that Mencap helped us to set up.

Next week, Our Active Community - St. Austell and Clay Country is hosting another Move and Make Friends event β€” a welcoming day for people with a learning disability, and those who support them, to meet new people and find out what’s happening locally.
