This evening players from our St Albans Early Knights junior club played a match away against Watford Juniors. This is an annual fixture at the start of each season. The 20-board double-header ended in a 23.5 - 16.5 win for St Albans so we retain this trophy. More important than the result is how we played and, as usual, the match was played in a very good spirit, with fair play, sportsmanship and respect for the opponent shown by all players of both teams.
