🎾 Entries are NOW OPEN for the Debden Tennis Tournament! 🎾
We're looking forward to another fantastic afternoon of tennis at the Debden Tennis Courts on Saturday 22nd August, from 12pm to 5pm.
Whether you're a regular player or haven't picked up a racket for a while, we'd love you to join us. This is a friendly doubles tournament that's all about enjoying some tennis, meeting people and having fun – players of all abilities are very welcome.
Entry is just £7 per person, which includes our popular BBQ, kindly sponsored by Magness Farms. 🌭🍔
🍽️ After the tournament, we'll also be heading to The Plough for an evening meal. If you'd like to join us, just let us know when you enter, along with how many guests you'll be bringing.

Pickleball at Debden – Everyone Welcome!

We’re excited to announce that Saffron Walden Area Pickleball Club is now running weekly pickleball sessions at Debden!

🗓 Wednesdays: 10:30am–12:30pm
🗓 Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays: 4:00–6:00pm

✅ No joining fee
✅ Pay and play – come when it suits you
✅ All abilities welcome – including complete beginners!

Whether you’re curious about the sport or already hooked, come along and enjoy a fun, friendly session in a beautiful setting. It’s a great way to get active, meet new people, and try something new.

Come and celebrate the reopening of our refurbished tennis courts and the launch of brand-new pickleball facilities! Join us on Saturday 31st May for a fun-filled afternoon featuring live demos, taster sessions, and expert guidance from Saffron Walden Area Pickleball.

We’re also delighted to announce that the pickleball courts are now available to hire!
Whether you’re new to the sport or a regular player, it’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy this exciting addition to our community.
