How's your week been?
I've been out of the country this week (for the first time in 9 years!!) . Took the opportunity to visit a gallery or 3. I hadn't realised that Escher was a print maker. I'd assumed he was pen and ink. But no, most of it is either woodcut or lithography... the skill!!
Vermeer and Rembrandt: great to see some of the classics close up and to realise whuch details are in and which were omitted, its more expressionistic than I thought...
Although my tolerance for expressionism is a bit limited...
So I've got some more inspo... I wonder if it'll show in what I do next at all...?
