🟡🟢 | On Friday 11th September we are hosting the Linnets Open, the final darts night of our summer season.

There are a limited number of places available to non members of the league.

🟡🟢 | Friday night we completed our league programme and what a night of darts it was.

Congratulations to our group winners David Jones, Callum Cavanagh and Ste Shackleton.

This Friday we play our post season tournaments, the President's Cup and the Captain's Cup.

🟡🟢 | The Linnets Darts League saw an eventful day with several matches impacting the standings across the Bridge, Canal, and Castle divisions. Each division experienced its own highlights and shifts in rankings, with notable performances and some players maintaining their positions despite intense competition.

In the Bridge division, David Jones made a significant leap to the top position after a decisive 6-2 victory over Jack Slater. This win propelled Jones from third to first, accumulating a total of 16 points. Koy Champion, who did not play, dropped to second place, holding steady at 16 points. Jack Slater, after his loss to Jones, fell from second to third, remaining at 15 points. Ryan Orme had a mixed day, drawing 4-4 against both Logan Shaw and Eddie Baxter, maintaining his position in fourth with 14 points. Eddie Baxter also stayed in fifth place with a total of 13 points after his draw with Orme. Logan Shaw's results included a home walkover win against Paul Mckeirnon and a draw with Orme, keeping him in sixth place with 10 points. The bottom of the standings saw no changes, with Liam Hand, Paul Mckeirnon, and Callum Jones remaining in their respective positions.

In the Canal division, Callum Cavanagh continued his dominance with a commanding 7-1 win over Taylor Jones, solidifying his top position with 21 points. Taylor Jones, despite a mixed day of results, moved up to third place with 15 points after a previous win against Ethan Clarke. Dom Bazley, who drew 4-4 with Ellis Clarke, slipped to fourth place with 14 points. John Murdoch climbed from eighth to sixth place after a 6-2 victory over Michael Carney, increasing his points to 5. Ethan Clarke's loss to Taylor Jones saw him drop to seventh place, while Ellis Clarke, despite his draw with Bazley, fell to eighth. Michael Carney remained at the bottom of the standings with no points after his defeat to Murdoch.

In the Castle division, Jay Walsh delivered an outstanding performance with two 8-0 victories over Jack Woodward Jones and Josh Christian, maintaining his fourth position and boosting his points to 15. Josh McCluskey retained his second place with a 5-3 win against Ken Gilhooley, bringing his total to 19 points. Bobby Murray also had a strong showing, defeating Josh Christian 8-0 and staying in third place with 15 points. The rest of the standings saw no changes, with Stephen Shackleton, Ken Gilhooley, Jenson Jones, Jack Woodward Jones, Josh Christian, and Tracey Murdoch all maintaining their positions.

As always bar opens at 6 and all are welcome, so why not come along and watch some darts.

🟡🟢 | There are no league fixtures this week but instead we're looking to host a friendly singles tournament. No entrance fee, no prize money, just for fun.

We will also have Spain v Portugal on.

Friday 10th July, doors open at 6.30, reg closes at 7.15, start throwing at 7.30.

🟡🟢 | In the latest action from the Linnets Darts League, several key matches took place across the Bridge, Canal, and Castle divisions, leading to some shifts in standings. Each division saw its share of intense competition, with players striving to improve their rankings.

Bridge Division:

In the Bridge division, Logan Shaw secured a significant 5-3 victory over Liam Hand, while Koy Champion and David Jones ended their match in a 4-4 draw. Paul Mckeirnon faced a tough challenge, losing 2-6 to Liam Hand, but later managed a 4-4 draw against Callum Jones. Ryan Orme triumphed with a 5-3 win against Jack Slater. Despite these results, there was no change at the top of the standings, with Eddie Baxter maintaining his position. However, David Jones moved up to third place, overtaking Jack Slater, who dropped to fourth. Liam Hand improved his standing from eighth to seventh, while Paul Mckeirnon fell to eighth.
