Scale weight gives you a number.

Not context.

So if before you get frustrated about them not dropping as quickly as you would like, ask yourself this…

HOW DO MY CLOTHES FEEL?

If the answer is they are starting to feel bigger, looser and/or more comfortable you’re on the right track.

Things are working.

The scales just haven’t caught up yet and you can continue doing what you’re doing.

Has this been a concern for you?

If so, let me know in the comments and we can see if there are any tell tale signs that you’re actually making progress.

After seeing some definition in her back Shannon wants to work on it further.

We’ve called this, building back bumps.

Also, she’s thinking about creating her own instagram page to document her progress.

Do you think she should?

Fat loss gets difficult when you try to undo 3 years of gaining in 3 months.

But it doesn’t need to be that way.

Keep things simple because that’s what you’ll be able to stick to consistently and long enough to get the result you want.

Need help with that, give me a message.

The reason you keep falling off the wagon and having the restart your diet (I hate that word) is simple.

You’re too concerned with quick results that you forget about being able to make them sustainable.

The people who achieve long term fat loss understand that it will take time.

This allows them to focus on the process and making sure they do the right things consistently without the pressure of how quickly the scales catch up.

Because they will catch up.

There’s a reason why the term “trust the process” became so popular.

And to be honest, if you get to where you want to be a little slower it’s worth it if you’re able to maintain it long into the future.

The Weekly Dump - Center Parcs edition.

Crazy to think that it’s been a year to the day that me and Jo met.

Roughly about two weeks to the day since she text me saying “I’m going for a run tomorrow, want to come?”

And only a few months away from us being officially together a whole year.

No wonder I’m going grey…

The road to 100kg.

Can Caitlin push past 75kg and get a new PB?

Plus a little acknowledgment for how far she’s come in general in terms of her confidence in the gym.

If you’re looking to lose a significant amount of weight, it’s going to take time.

And that means you will inevitably have setbacks.

Life will get in the way.

Motivation will dip.

Maybe completely come to stand still.

Possibly, multiple times.

But that’s ok.

It’s to be expected.

What matters is how quickly you get back on track.

And you can do that with your very next meal or by not skipping your next workout.

So stop beating yourself up because that doesn’t help in any way.

Instead, give me a message and I’ll not only help you minimise the number of setbacks you have, but get you back on plan when it does happen.

Working with Jess has been an absolute pleasure!

From day one we got along, bantered each other and laughed in every single session.

She is a dream to coach and I’m so proud of how much she has achieved both in terms of her goals but more importantly, seeing her confidence grow over time.

You can see what she had to say about our time working together by swiping ➡️

(Or the full review can be found on Google.)

And if you would like to build strength, change your body shape and have a laugh along the way comment or DM me the word “COACH”.

If you had asked me a year ago whether I’d run 10km I’d have said no chance.

But here we are.

Not only was I able to run it, but I did it without stopping to walk and with a sprint through the finish line.

It’s amazing what getting out of your comfort zone and sticking with something can do.

There have been so many times that I thought I’ve hit a wall and reached my ceiling when it comes to running.

Only for it to click the very next week.

Am I an expert runner?

No.

But I’ve learnt enough now to know that persistence is key and you WILL start to love it.

I feel fitter and more capable now, at 39 than I did 20 years ago and I want that you for you!

Next goal: Half Marathon 👀
