Woooo hooooo and a massive thank you to each and every one of you. I’m so grateful for you joining me on this journey.

Now some people may think this is a little bit ridiculous for 400 followers but it’s really just a matter of perspective.

Sadly I think social media can really distort our perspective.

Only 10 likes?
Only 1 comment?
Only 400 followers?

But what if every person who liked your post felt seen, heard and understood.

What if your post changed the day of that person who commented?

What if you had 400 people in a room, listening to what you are saying? (See second slide to actually get a visual perspective on this!!)

How massive is all of this?

And this is genuinely why I am grateful for every one of you and why I am celebrating this.

I hope my posts help you feel seen, heard and understood and in some way help you on your own journey.

Next Women’s ADHD Support Group Meet Up is Tuesday 30th June.

Come and join us if you are local to Tonbridge/ West Kent and identity with the female presentation of ADHD. No need to be diagnosed, you can just be questioning or self identity.

This is simply a safe place to come and connect with other women who understand and honestly the impact has been incredible. Every meet up so many women tell me how comfortable and at ease they have felt. It’s like your nervous system can just totally relax when surrounded by others who just get it!

Here is a quote from one attendee;

“This community of women is amazing. I have never felt comfortable around new people, and have
always struggled with social situations, but I really look forward to our monthly meet up. I feel so
comfortable and accepted and it has had a huge impact on my mental health to be able to meet
with like minded ladies, and to give and receive support.”

The purpose of ADHD coaching is not to become neurotypical.

Because firstly, this is impossible.

And secondly, why would you want to be something that you are not?

But sadly, there are lots of people that seek out and try ADHD coaching because they think that they can ‘learn’ strategies to become a slick and polished version of themselves.. A neurotypical version of themselves.

This makes me incredibly sad because this is likely to lead to burnout and a huge amount of disappointment.

Because we are neurodivergent. That is what we are.

I often see late diagnosed neurodivergence explained like feeling like a broken horse and then realising you are a zebra.

So if you then get coaching to try to continue trying to be a horse… you are always going to feel like a broken horse. No matter how hard you push and how hard you try.

But embracing being a Zebra… That is what it is all about!!

Learning to show off your beautiful stripes, rather than hide them.

Learning that zebras have very different needs to horses.

Learning that they thrive in different environments to horses.

Learning they may look very similar but are in fact very different.

This is the type of coaching that I offer.

I help you to truly connect with being the incredible, beautiful neurodivergent woman that you are. We explore your needs and your strengths and what environments you thrive in so that you can learn to live authentically and find a sense of freedom in the process. 🩷

ADHD Brain Freeze…

Honestly I have so much I would love to say to her…

But mostly the thing I want her to know is that she doesn’t need to apologise for being herself.

I have always apologised for being too much or not being enough and it’s something that I am still massively working on. I have come a long way with not apologising but it’s still something that I default to as a coping strategy….

* If I point out my flaws before others do then I can be more in control of the narrative! * - actually I just end up pointing out things that people probably would never have noticed.

* I need to say sorry for X,Y, Z because me doing that has really impacted on that person and I need to apologise * - but did it actually impact them? Or is this RSD just messing with my head!

I am learning to challenge and question myself on this but I still think it’s the younger version of myself that really needs to hear this.

You are not your unfinished to-do list.
You are not your forgotten appointments.
You are not your overwhelm.
You are not the moments you’ve felt “too much” or “not enough.”

Yes, ADHD impacts how you move through the world.

And...

You are also intuitive.
Creative.
Compassionate.
Resilient.
Funny.
Brilliant.
Curious.
Human.

One of the biggest shifts I see in my ADHD coaching clients is this:

They stop trying to fix themselves and start understanding themselves.

Because healing doesn’t come from fighting who you are.

It comes from learning how your mind works, honouring your needs, and building a life that supports the person you already are.
