WE ARE BACK and ready to go again.

Our season gets underway this Sunday as we get ready to face Stanningley Albion Greens, kicking off a brand‑new chapter with players moving to pastures new, new players joining the squad and a familiar face returning.

Last year set the standard. This year, we will look to build on it

⚽Season Review - 2025/26⚽

The U14 Reds stepped up this year — literally. Promotion meant tougher games, faster opposition and a whole new level of challenge… and they rose to it by finishing midtable. They have shown development, confidence and resilience.
The way every player contributed to something bigger than themselves.

Week after week, the team proved they belonged in the higher division. They adapted, competed and showed a maturity beyond their age. They even got to the 2nd round of the cup, giving a side a division above an excellent game showing they have the potential to go even higher. Despite 3 defeats in their final games still couldn't dampen the spirits.

During the end of season presentation, every player received a trophy as a sign of their hardwork during a tough season. A few players got special mentions:

🏆Coaches Player of the Year - Oscar for his amazing saves, pitch leadership and wanting to do his absolute best
🏆Parents Player and Players Player - Elliott for his running of the game, his attitude and his downright determination
🏆Top scorer - Freddie, who banged in 20 goals for the season.
🏆Most Improved - Jack, who a couple of years ago couldn't kick a ball properly and has now developed his skills into whipping balls into the box and taking players on

Sadly, a few players have decided to move on: Bam, Callum, Lucas, Jacob, Taylor, Eron and James - everyone at U14 Reds wishes them all the luck in whatever they decide to do next. We also have David, assistant coach stepping down - thank you David for being part of the coaching team - enjoy your retirement 😁

But, we welcome some new players into the team: Iona (joined us half way and made a HUGE impact), Nix, Corey and Ava. Welcome to The Reds.

On behalf of the players and parents - we want to thank Mark and Gareth for giving up their time to coach this group of players - without you, the team isn't possible, so thank you both!

We can't wait to get started and see what else we can achieve - the future looks seriously bright for this group

Its Match Day and an away trip to Airedale for the lunchtime kick-off is the final game of the season for The Reds. The Reds came out victorious in the game earlier in the season, so hopefully they can replicate the result and finalise their mid-table place

⚽NEXT MATCH⚽

The Reds last game of the season is a tough away visit to Airedale. The Reds came out victorious in the match a couple of weeks ago. The Reds are coming off back-to-back defeats so will be looking to end the season with a win and hopefully maintain their mid-table standing. Fingers crossed for a full squad and no more injuries.

⚽MARCH MATCH RESULTS⚽

March was a mixed bag for The Reds. They start off well, winning their first 3 game. However, a depleted squad and further injuries in the last 2 games, meant we finished March with back to back defeats. We know that with a fully fit squad, those games would have been a lot closer but it is what it is, we take it on the chin and go into the final game of the season

⚽MATCH REPORT vs Kirkstall Crusaders FC U14 Blue⚽

The Reds welcomed Kirkstall Crusaders U14 Blue down to Fleet Lane for the last home game of the season. With only 11 players and taking on the unbeaten league leaders, The Reds knew this wouldn't be an easy task. It took The Reds a while to get into the game by which time Kirkstall had raced into a 2-0 lead. But The Reds head didnt go down and when they finally woke up, they created their own chances. Going on at half time 2-1 was just what The Reds needed. However, a couple of missed chances for The Reds let Kirkstall off and they punished The Reds, going into a 3-1 lead. This deflated The Reds a little and Kirkstall took advantage, scoring a 4th. The match ended 4-1 but once again, all The Reds can be proud of themselves - they worked hard and played together as a team and let's be honest, it's never easy playing without subs!

⚽MATCH DAY⚽

It's The Reds last home game of the season and they welcome runaway league leaders Kirkstall Crusaders FC U14 Blues down to Fleet Lane for the early kick off. The Reds played Kirkstall in the first game of the season and were beaten convincingly. However, The Reds have come a long way since then and have clawed their way up the table. Despite a defeat last week, The Reds are looking forward to taking on Kirkstall who also are unbeaten in the league but will need to be at their absolute best if they want to inflict a first defeat of the season on their opponents. The Reds welcome back a couple of players from injury which is a huge boost to the squad.
