Last night's presentation was certainly a representation of our season started of well and then went only one way 😂.

But thank you to all lads who have played this season and to everyone who has come to watch and we go on to next season.

Sundays Result
Sheffield Spartans 2-1 Ship Inn

Another week where we feel we should have probably got something and on the wrong end of the result after abit of a shaky start Spartans take the lead from a free kick that finds its way in the far corner after going over everyone, then from being 1-0 down we was the better team for the rest of the 1st half just not taking our chances.

HT 1-0

Going into the 2nd half we start of as we finished the 1st half and start on top creating chance after chance and then Spartans slowly start to grow back into the game and have a goal dissalowed then not long after a great save from Sam the ball unfortunately falls to their striker who taps it home. After 5 or 10 mins of Spartans scoring we find ourselves 1 goal behind after a great move from Josh finishing it off at at the back post with a nice tidy finish and everything good in the 2nd half seemed to come down that left side with Danny and Josh in this half and then with 15 mins left Sheff Spartans find themselves down to 10 men after what seems to be another dodgy ref decision and we just couldn't seem to find that final goal for the draw as we lose 2-1.

It's an unfortunate one for our lads as we feel we deserve something from that game but we've said that to many times this season and feel we've been unlucky one to many times.

Then not long after the referee giving us 3 Pens throughout the game Brett putting the 1st away comfortably and we'll not talk about his 2nd one word has it the balls still landing so if anyone in rawmarsh find its in their back garden we'd love for u to return it 😂😂 then after a few shakey moments in the 2nd half and a great free kick from Yorkshire roses we grew back into it and arguably should have been 4 or 5 in front and we then put the game to bed as Brandon C on his first game for us wins us a penalty and it's John slots it home.

Sundays Match Result
Stag United 4-4 Ship Inn

After a Sluggish start to the game we managed to win a penalty after a great run with the ball into the box from Brandon he's done brilliantly to win us a pen by drawing the keeper in and up steps Brett who slots the penalty away comfortably.

After the penalty we had dropped of for 10 - 15 minutes allowing Stag to build up some pressure which they then take advantage off by winning a corner and you guessed it we concede from anothee set piece which seems to be our main issue this season conceding from set pieces.
Then after a few mistakes in the 1st half we then see ourselves going in at half time 3-1 down but finished the half of strong.

Going into the 2nd half after some cha he's to the team and shap we come out and started of strong with some lovely worked goals from Chad who takes his chances making it 3 in 3 for him and then the half time change definitely impacted the game as on came Buzza completely controlled the midfield with Harry and Brandon and not to long after Chad slots a shot into the bottom Corner bringing the game back to 3-3, and after dominating the 2nd half for a long period of time we make the most of it with a curling effort into the far top corner from Buzza to put us in front 4-3.

But again we seem to look in control and playing some great football we then concede another great finish which nothing could be done about and seems to happen to us most weeks and fair play to the Stag players it's a great finish with 2 minutes left.

After a slow start and a much better 2nd half we feel we should hv done more and got the 3 points but some good saves from both keepers arguably a draws not the worst result but feel 2 points has been dropped but at least it's 1 point on the board but there has been plenty of weeks we'd have come out of that with nothing so well played to all the lads.

Inter Rotherham 2-5 Ship Inn

We started our Malcom Gabbitas cup run with a nice steady 5-2 win over Inter Rotherham who at times made it hard for us to get the ball down and playing how we wanted to hut after a few chances and few dodgy offside calls we finally scored through Brett.
The 1st Half definitely wasn't the most entertaining one to watch however we are going in 4-0 up at half time which definitely could have been possibly 5 or 6 but a few good saves and claims by their keeper kept it at 4.
The start of the 2nd half we started of poorly and Inter Rotherham made the most of it from a free kick to bring the game to 4-1 and not to long after Catley decides to whip a ball in which took even the keeper by suprise and floated all the way into the far corner but we take them we then lead 5-1, but then not to far from the end of the 2nd half Inter Rotherham scored a consolation goal to make the final result 5-2.

It's a nice way to kick off our cup campaign for the Malcom Gabbitas as we await to find out who we shall play in the next round.

East Dene 5-3 Ship Inn

Wasn't the result we wanted or the start after a awful start we found ourselves 3-0 down and not really in the game and to top it of from a great finish just before half time to make it 4-0 and to be honest unfortunately the damage was done.

But from a nice quick start in the 2nd half we found ourselves with a goal from Brandon with a nicely taken finish and then Not to long after Catley with a well taken finish too and then not too long after Marley hits a lovely shot from 30 odd yards out to unfortunately find it hitting the bar and Brett's follow up hitting the bar.
4-2
As we found ourselves creeping back into it and the better team in the 2nd half a goal that quite frankly no one is stopping and no doubt the best we'll probs concede all season and unfortunately stopped all our momentum to make it 5-2.

After a while of East Dene being the better team in this half we grew back into it with a few good chances and unfortunately couldn't take them and the last kick of the game the ball comes in from the left side from a lovely ball in and a great touch from Brandon inside the 6 yard box then takes his goal well with the last kick of the game to make it 5-3.

It wasn't our day today after a really poor 1st half we was unfortunately to far gone to make a real comeback but that 2nd half performance is definitely one to be proud of and take that into the rest of the season and we'll be fine.

Ship Inn 4-3 Wincobank Rovers

After possibly thinking the game could be postponed everyone showed up hoping the game was gonna be on to build on a great performance last week and it was on.

We started of quick making the most of our early quick start with Marley finding the back of the net with a great strike to set us in good stead for the rest of the game, and minutes after we find ourselves 2-0 up from a cross into the box and unfortunately an own goal for Wincobank.

Not long after we made it 2-0 we had a few chances to extend the lead again but unfortunately didn't take them and for the last 30 minutes of the half Wincobank Rovers found themselves looking the better team getting in behind and few dodgy decisions from the ref letting us off until a defensive mistake let them in and it's a fair to say it's a great strike to the lad putting it far top corner no stopping that. We go into half time then 3-1 up as Danny scores at the back post with a lovely header from a great ball in from Ryley.

Going in to the 2nd half we started on the back foot looking quite complacent and it showed towards through the half as we found ourselves battling back into the game conceding from a suprise.... Suprise, u guessed it another set piece we conceded from and not to long after found ourselves conceding from a header.
However the referee having a poor game and somewhat spoiling what could have been a great game played into our hands as he awarded us what probably of given against us is a very very soft penalty and anyone would feel hard done by and up steps Brett and scores nice to see him back on the score sheet having a few tough weeks in front of goal.

It's fair to say it was a game full of everything u could say but also some quality moments from both teams to make it an entertaining game to play in and watch from the side.

Woodman Woodlaiths 3-3 Ship Inn
It definitely was a game that could have gone either way for both teams throughout the game both teams having spells and dominating through the game.

Before the game starts we all gather for a minutes silence to remember those who served for our country Least we forget.

As the game starts woodman Woodlaiths take a early lead from a corner after a sloppy start from us we picked up and was the better team for spells of the 1st half and taking advantage of it with a lovely finish from Joe.
After we equalised there was a great chance to double the lead through Marley but unfortunately was just abit to much on the ball.
Going into the 2nd half we found ourselves finding the net and going in front through Marley with a lovely calm finish on his left foot and slotting it into the bottom corner.

As the 2nd half went on we had chances to take the lead and then unfortunately a red card for Catley sends us down to 10 men we have to re adjust and unfortunately concede from another set piece which seems to be a re occurring theme this season and not long after with about 10 - 15 minutes left we found ourselves 3-2 down and thought we still had a chance.

With what was essentially the last kick off the kick game we find ourselves with a penalty in the last minute won by the new man Ben arguably soft but we take it and then there was only ever gonna be 1 person taking this penalty on his debut aswell Corey stepped up and slots away the penalty to make it 3-3.

It was a great game for all watching and to be involved in we will see them later on in the season hope for a similar game but a win this time.
