** JFC 2 - BWFC 5 **

Last night wrapped our season up against possible champions Brinny Whitehill we couldnt have gone into this game with any more of a depleted squad through injuries and work commitments, Garro had to dig deep in to our reserve signings to start with a bare 11 and a stand in keeper Shauny Mac, but we matched Brinsworth with 100% commitment taking the lead 2-1 with Brad Carrol taking his tally to over 30 for the season. Then fatigue started to creep in as the game went on thats when Brinsworth came good with 2 of our 11 having had no game time for any of our matches but credit to Jacko and Alex for being there week in and week out and especially last night Alex Deehan gaining man of the match status for his performance and definitely giving Shaun something to think about for a starter next season.

A big thanks to everyone who has followed us home and away taking a cracking support wherever we have gone, also a big thanks to all our sponsors who gave us the chance to start the team in the first place with their backing. But the hard work doesn't stop there first we have the matter of a cup final against newly crowned premiership winners The Gate Inn which takes place 2 weeks on Sunday at The NYS, then its time to start looking at the next season recruiting committed players willing to give 100% as we go in to our second season. So hopefully see everyone down at NYS then back to the Joker after to where the beers will be flowing no matter what the result...

This month's bonus ball winner number 23 went to Moz, £500 roll over he says “cheers Ricky Alford 🤣”. We will be still running the BB throughout close season to carry on supporting the club and dont for get as Glen Sampson said "it could be you!"

Aughton Black Bull 2 - Joker FC 4

This result staves off relegation in our first season, always make it hard for our selves but thats us… Brilliant performance second half by everyone with goals coming from Roberts x 2, Caroll, Upstone, credit to Aughton Black Bull proper set of lads. MOM Roberts N Perry

Joker FC 1 - Thirsty Flame 4

Thursday night saw us against already promoted Thirsty Flame these also pushing for the title, up to half time the Joker were on top for most of the half playing some decent stuff, as were both teams, Joker taking the lead 1-0 through Brad Carroll, but couldnt hold on till HT with TF scoring 2 quick goals. Second half again playing some decent football but TF went on to score another 2 to seal a win. Taking nothing away from TF, injuries once again played a major part in the performance with regular keeper missing and then the stand in keeper having to come off just before HT Garrow had to cover in the net seems all these injuries are coming at the wrong time with 2 games to go still in the relegation mix, a cup final 3 weeks away. Credit to lads who are persisting and playing for the badge, Heads up we go again Sunday against Aughton Black Bull for a 6 pointer.

23/04/26: we are at home on an evening KO against an already promoted and pushing for the title AFC Thirsty Flame, the first encounter was a close affair with the MOM been the referee With us having quite a few out over last few weeks with injuries hopefully we can put out a decent team and perform how we know we can. Get your selves down on St Georges day to Flash lane and support the lads for this evening KO

*** March Monthly Bonus Ball Update ***

Attention everyone! Unfortunately, there was no winner for the March monthly bonus ball.

This means that the lucky winner in April will take home the entire pot, provided they’ve paid for both March and April. If this continues for a third consecutive time, the club will distribute a payout for two months, up to a maximum of £600, with anything beyond that going to the club.

So, to have a chance at winning potentially £500, be sure to have your payments in for both March and April.

This coming Sunday back to league action after last weeks cup antics, hopefully everyone has sobered up after a fully deserved after game session in the Joker. Get to Beighton to hopefully get the same support as last week, 10.30KO 👍👍
