Today, RSS Development U10s played their penultimate game of the season, and the boys delivered another excellent performance.

We started the first half on the front foot, creating plenty of chances and putting the opposition under consistent pressure. Although they had a few chances of their own, we edged the first half overall, with their goalkeeper pulling off some impressive saves to keep the scoreline tight.

In the second half, we tightened things up defensively, limiting the opposition’s opportunities while still looking sharp in the final third. Once again, their goalkeeper produced some outstanding saves to keep them in the game. However, as they pushed forward late on, we executed a brilliant counter-attack to put the result beyond doubt.

Today’s Man of the Match went to Cooper, who put in a fantastic display. Positive on the ball, linking up play beautifully, and delivering some wicked balls into dangerous areas — well done, Coops!

One more to go next week, boys — let’s finish the season with a smile!

RSS Development U10s put in a commanding performance today, controlling the game from start to finish with a positive and direct approach. The team showcased some excellent football, moving the ball well and dominating both in possession and defensively.

Luke, stepping in as goalkeeper, had only one save to make—a testament to the team’s solid defensive shape and overall dominance. From front to back, everyone played their part, ensuring the opposition had little opportunity to threaten.

Today’s Man of the Match was Robert, who put in an outstanding display. His passing was sharp, and he carried a real attacking threat, demonstrating exactly what the team has been working on in training. Seeing that hard work translate onto the pitch was a real highlight.

A fantastic team effort, full of confidence and discipline—well done to everyone involved!

It was a tough outing for RSS U10s Development as they fell short despite a much-improved second-half performance.

The first half proved difficult with the opposition opting for a more direct approach and capitalizing on the conditions. RSS, in contrast, looked to play but found it hard to adapt to the surface, which limited their ability to control the tempo.

After the break, RSS began to create multiple chances and they put the opposition under spells of pressure. However, converting those opportunities proved to be the difference, as they couldn’t quite find the net often enough to turn the game around.

Man of the Match, Roman, who put in some brilliant challenges, displayed great awareness, and even made his mark at the other end of the pitch late on. His all-around display was a real positive on a tough day for the team

Rotherham Schools Select U10’s Development were in action today in a well-balanced and competitive game of football. Both teams showed quality throughout, with some excellent passages of play.

RSS put together some lovely attacking moves, displaying composure and teamwork in possession while always being confident to play from the back. The boys worked hard from start to finish, showing good energy and commitment, especially in the warm morning conditions.

Abdul, was named Man of the Match for his anticipation in defense. He read the game brilliantly, made crucial interventions, and showed confidence playing out from the back.

After a series of weather-related postponements, Rotherham Schools Select Development U10s returned to action with an impressive performance against a strong opposition.

The game started evenly, with both sides playing some excellent football. The boys showed great composure and persistence, matching their opponents in a tightly contested first half. Their determination paid off, as they continued to push forward and play with confidence.

At halftime, the message was clear—deliver another 25 minutes of hard work. The team responded well, producing 20 minutes of high-quality football before a slight dip in intensity due to fatigue. Despite this, they maintained their focus, securing a great result against tough opposition.

Man of the Match went to Owen, who delivered a dominant display in midfield. His vision, composure on the ball, and work rate off it were outstanding, showing real desire to drive the team forward.

Rotherham Schools Select U10’s Development put in a strong performance in their early kick-off today, showing real intent from the start. The boys set the tone early, playing some fantastic football and creating multiple chances. Despite their dominance, the first half ended goalless, with a slight dip in tempo towards the break allowing the opposition to stay in the contest.

After a halftime team talk emphasizing the need to test the GK—"if we don’t buy a ticket to the raffle, we can’t win"—the boys responded brilliantly. They came out quickly in the second half, asserting their dominance once again. A brief nervy spell threatened to make things interesting, but soon enough, Rotherham pulled away and put the game out of sight with a confident display.

There were some outstanding performances all over the pitch, with great teamwork shining through. Man of the Match went to Abdul, who was excellent at the back, constantly breaking up attacks, staying switched on, and always looking to play positively and move the ball forward.

A great result for the boys today—well done to everyone involved!

Rotherham Schools Select Development U10s continued their league campaign with another strong performance, showcasing their dominance in a highly engaging contest today.

From the first whistle, the young side displayed remarkable control of the game, dictating possession and moving the ball fluidly from back to front. Their swift transitions and sharp passing ensured that the opposition had little room to breathe throughout the first half. The boys played with confidence and flair, producing some excellent team play and demonstrating their impressive understanding of the game at a young age.

In the second half, while the tempo dipped slightly, the lads remained determined and managed to create several chances. On another day, those opportunities might have been converted into additional goals. Nevertheless, it was a solid display with plenty of positives to take forward.

This performance served as a good runout for the team, although there are still areas to fine-tune in training as the boys continue to develop their skills.

Man of the Match honors went to Roman, who delivered a truly outstanding performance from start to finish. Roman’s game had a bit of everything: grit, creativity, and an unrelenting work rate. His display not only helped drive the team forward but also highlighted his exceptional potential.

Rotherham Schools Select returned to action today, but unfortunately struggled to make their mark in tough conditions. Following the Christmas break, the team faced a challenging match on a heavy pitch that hampered their ability to play their usual brand of football.

From the outset, the players found it difficult to find a rhythm, with the poor weather and surface making fluid passing and movement a significant challenge. Despite their efforts to adapt, the conditions played a decisive role in the outcome, preventing Rotherham from gaining a foothold or establishing sustained pressure.

One bright spark in an otherwise difficult day was the performance of Joey, who was named Man of the Match. Playing at the back, Joey’s well-timed challenges and unwavering commitment kept the opposition at bay on numerous occasions. His leadership in defense provided some stability in an otherwise tough outing.

Although the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for, the boys showed resilience in the face of adversity and will look to bounce back stronger in their next match.

It wasn’t Rotherham Schools Select's day, but the determination and fight were evident throughout. With better conditions and more opportunities to train after the break, the team is sure to bounce back. Well played, Joey, for an excellent defensive performance!

Rotherham Schools Select Development U10s were back in action today with a hard-fought game against Wingerworth. It was a strong team performance, marked by grit, determination, and resilience. The boys were tough to break down, combining solid defensive work with some good passages of play.

A special mention goes to Luke, who stepped into the goalkeeper role in Ellis's absence. Luke rose to the occasion, making a couple of crucial saves and securing a well-deserved clean sheet.

Man of the Match was Abdul, who delivered a good performance at the back. His tackling and blocking were on point, and he used the ball effectively throughout the game. Fantastic work, Abdul—well done!

This morning, Rotherham Schools Select Development Under 10’s delivered a fantastic all-round team performance, showcasing their hard work, commitment, and determination from the first whistle to the last. The boys were solid throughout, combining some outstanding individual displays with a cohesive team effort, a testament to their improvement from last week.
