🏆 Cup Final Winners! 🏆

Today was Cup Final Day, and after falling just short in last year’s semi-final and the final the year before, the boys knew exactly how tough it would be — especially against a strong Ecclesall Rangers side we’ve never managed to beat in three previous meetings!

As expected, Ecclesall came flying out of the blocks, but we defended brilliantly and soon settled into playing our usual football. Deacon settled us before Jozsef completely calmed us before half-time! The message was simple they'd come out even stronger in the second half and we had to stay switched on!

It was exactly that, with more pressure from Ecclesall, and we briefly lost our rhythm, allowing them to creep back in. But Luke restored calm, and from there, the lads dug deep and defended superbly to see it out.

Every single player gave everything today — the effort, desire, and teamwork were outstanding. With the side-line packed full of amazing support once again, the boys finally got the reward they’ve worked so hard for this year!

⭐️ Player of the Match: Deacon — constant threat with his quick feet and trickery, causing problems all game.
⭐️ Parents’ Player: Charlie — absolutely rock solid at the back with some perfectly timed, crunching tackles.

⏰ A little later than usual, but here are last week’s Matchday Awards! 🔵⚫️

⭐ Player of the Match – Joe ⭐
A rock at the back! Solid display in defence, won his individual battles all game and never gave up.

⭐ Parents’ Player of the Match – William ⭐
A battling display in midfield – worked tirelessly and chased everything down from start to finish.

Top performances from both lads – great effort, boys!

🔵⚫️ CUP FINAL DAY! 🏆

The boys are at Bernard’s on Sunday morning for the October Cup Final as they take on Ecclesall Rangers Gold!

The season so far has been full of hard work, teamwork, and some brilliant football — and now it’s time to go one better than last year!

Ecclesall are a strong side we haven’t met since the U8s, but with the confidence and belief the lads have shown recently, there’s every reason they can go out there and make it their day.

Play with heart, play for each other, and most of all, enjoy every minute — with last weekend's comeback, you’ve earned this!

🔵⚫️ Cup Final for the Boys 🏆

The boys travelled to Maltby Juniors this afternoon with one clear goal — booking their place in next Sunday’s cup final.

A slow start saw Maltby settle into the game early on as we struggled to get stuck in the way we usually love to. But an early error seemed to spark us into life, and from that moment we grew into the game, showing much more of the football we know we can play.

Right on the stroke of half-time, their hard work paid off and they got themselves right back into it.

The second half was a proper end-to-end battle, with chances for both sides, but our back line stood firm — Charlie and Danielius were rock solid, while Player of the Match Joe was immense, winning his individual battles and staying strong

Up top, Deacon and Harry P caused constant problems for the Maltby defence, and Aubrey was unlucky not to score after a brilliant volley that struck the post. The midfield worked tirelessly throughout and got their reward midway through the second half before everyone dug deep to defend with everything they had in the final ten minutes.

A huge well done to every single one of them — the reaction after the early setback was fantastic. Massively proud of this group.

Next up: Ecclesall at Bernard’s next Sunday — a really tough test that’ll show just how far these boys have come.

🏆 Cup Day on the Road! 🔵⚫

This Sunday the boys hit the road for their first away game of the season as they travel to Maltby Juniors in the cup!

They’ve come so close over the past couple of years, and there’s no doubt they’ll be fired up and ready to go again this weekend. With the effort, determination, and teamwork they’ve shown in the opening four games, there’s every reason to believe they can go all the way this time.

Let’s go, boys — give it everything you’ve got!

Safe hands and unbeatable on the day — Harry stopped everything thrown at him, never looking like conceding despite Worksop giving him plenty to do.

⭐ Parents’ Player of the Match – Jozsef ⭐
A brilliant box-to-box performance! Dug deep defensively and drove us forward every time he got on the ball.

🔵⚫ Match Report

One of the boys’ best defensive performances today!

With Aubrey getting off the mark early, it turned into an end-to-end game with chances at both ends throughout. Harry P was incredibly unlucky not to find the net on a couple of occasions, but at the other end, Charlie, Joe, Danielius and Jozsef dug in deep time and time again to deal with the danger.

When Worksop did break through, it was our Man of the Match, Harry H, who stood tall — stopping everything thrown at him, and probably having more to do today than in the last three games combined!

The boys played some brilliant football at times, with Aubrey’s quick footwork causing real problems for the opposition. We just couldn’t quite put the game to bed, but a massive well done to everyone for the composure and control shown to see it out.

Next up — two big cup games over the next couple of weeks!

🔵⚫ Matchday Incoming! 🔵⚫

This Sunday the boys are at Bernard’s again as we take on Worksop Boys & Girls Club. After a brilliant start to the season, the lads will be looking to keep that momentum rolling with another big performance.

The hard work put in during preseason, plus how well they’ve gelled as a team after a few changes, has been amazing to see — and it’s really paid off in those opening three games.

Let’s keep it going, boys! 💙 Good luck!
