Despite the winds, a fantastic game played by both teams.

Rotherham town delivered a dominant performance, keeping strong control throughout the game.
The boys took what we’ve been practicing in training into the game with them today and came out on top. Providing space for passes and staying strong when challenged.

Absolutely solid performance from our Under 8’s on a cold windy Mother’s Day morning. They did themselves (and their mum’s) proud putting in 100% effort throughout. Always amazing to see the smiles on these young lads faces, makes Sunday mornings days to remember.

Another solid performance today from the boys. We started the game very strong and showed us coaches that they had been listening to what we’ve been working hard on in training.

Positioning was phenomenal and the space the boys were able to make for themselves gave them the freedom to show their quality.

The passing was also top notch, this is another thing we’ve been working hard on in training and today some amazing goals were created as a result.

🏆 Player of the match was tough today, any one of the boys could’ve taken it home but Alfie showed both coaches and his teammates how effective passing can generate chances, he found himself on the scoresheet and set up many more. Fantastic game today, well deserved. 🏆

What a day of football. The day started out hammering down with rain and the pitch looked a little worse for wear but that didn’t seem to have an affect on any of the boys today.

Having topped our group last week, we knew we’d be facing tough opposition this week playing unbeaten Ecclesall Rangers and Whiston Wildcats teams. Having played Ecclesall Rangers in the league less than 2 weeks ago and it being an extremely close game it wasn’t going to be easy, and the boys knew this.

From the outset, the lads showed grit and determination in every aspect of their game and continued the same run of mature football that they’ve shown in recent games.

Unbelievable goals today from Bodhi, Louie and Alessio with some fantastic assists from brilliant team play led to 2 wins and securing the cup. Every single player deserved to lift that trophy today, we set the ask and they certainly delivered. Brilliant effort all round and great to see so many smiles on so many faces ❤️⚽️🏆.
