A brilliant day for our football presentation yesterday. The weather wasn't on our side this year but it didnt stop the fun.
What a season the Blues have had, we've seen some terrible losses, terrific wins and some fancy footwork along the way. From super saves from the defence side of the team to set ups and glorious goals from midfield and up front, every single 1 of those boys have pulled their weight along the way. We said a fond farewell to Jacob from the team and we are about to welcome some new faces into the new season (watch this space)

We've seen injuries, tears and tantrums but the 1 constant along the way of support is the parents and grandparents. Come rain or shine (and trust me theres a lot of rain) you are there cheering on the sideline, supporting all the boys. We arent just a football team, we are a family and what I personally love about this team is the friendships I have made with the parents. We all support each other through the good, the bad and the ugly, whether its childcare, supporting our boys if we can't or just all round treating each boy like they are their own, we are in it together so Thankyou 🫶.

Also massive, massive thankyous to our coaches Ben Pritchard & John Bell. We simply wouldnt be here without you. You do so much for the boys and give so much of your time and nurture them and encourage them to be the best they can be. From organising games, training, going to club meetings, we know its a 2nd full time job (Well 3rd for Ben as he also has a job batting off Johns 10000000 calls a day, I think hes 1 call away from a restraining order 👀) and to do this in your spare time doesn't go un noticed so Thankyou to both of you the boys really think a lot of you both 💙🖤.

I could go on with the thankyous but finally massive thankyou to you, our gentlest reader, for following the boys journey, for the likes, the shares and growing the page so we can share far and wide how our lads are progressing. (theres other pages but nothing quite like our flair- quarter million views 😜)

I promise when the season starts we will be back to the overzealous match reports. But until then, with exception of a few friendlies and tournaments we are done till next season ✌️

Roll up roll up. Its the Bramley Sunnyside presentation day tomorrow at Ravenfield Playing fields, where we celebrate all the footballers of all ages for a fantastic 25/26 season. There will be plenty of awards for our budding stars and lots of photo opportunities.
There will be inflatables there for the kids £5 per child for unlimited play. Cash only for inflatables.

Big smoke van will be there and Stanniforths serving all our culinary delights, the icecream man usually can smell a sale a mile off so no doubt he will turn up and of course alcohol from the Ravenfield arms to serve all our well deserved coaches and parents for showing up week in, week out rain or shine. Come on down for a great family day. All are welcome

The Blues are back in town and hot off the press
Skipping the U9s completely and heading straight into Blues U10s next season as a 7-a-side squad… because normal progression is boring. You heard it here 1st
Tonight the lads played their very first 7-a-side game against kids a year older… and honestly, the boys were unstoppable you think theyd been doing it for years
Goal after goal after goal
Absolute scenes on the sidelines. Defenders turning into Pyscho Pearce, strikers turning into Shearer (Showing my age here with these name drops 👀), and coaches losing their voices after 10 minutes with the pure excitement of all the goals
What a performance from the boys — all of them Players of the Match.
If tonights anything to go by we are in for 1 hell of a season ⚽️ 💙🖤💙🖤⚽️

Super Sundays are back and we had a lovely visit to the edge of the peaks to play Porter Panthers in a friendly this morning.

Player of the match was our brilliant No 2. Jakeyyyy D. Jakey was running here there and everywhere. He took the training drills onto the pitch this morning and absolutely smashed it
Well done Jakey.

We have a few more friendlies in the pipeline with maybe 1 or 2 extra players on the pitch.

"The Sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip Hooray" Finally that big ball in the sky decided to give us a cheeky wink 😎.
CUP MATCH DAY.
Today we played against Aston Swallownest at home, it was a fierce game throughout from both teams, with both fighting to get the win. We had 2 in the back of the onion bag, 2 screamers off the cross bar, but who came off victorious to make it to the finals? . . . .

⭐️Players of the match⭐️

Coach John's POM - Its our DEEEEFENCEEE scrappy dappy Jacky. What a performance from Scrappy Jack, I have never seen him run so fast. The oppositions attack came in strong but our scrappy came in stronger. A strikers nightmare he came in all guns blazing and gave them what for.

Coach Ben's POM - Its our pocket rocket number 2, Jakey Deeeeeeee.
His confidence went from strength to strength in this game. He fought for every ball, ran on the attacks, found space to bang on in the back of the net. Absolute asset to the team Jake.

Well done Boys, every single one of your gave your all today.

Well, that’s a wrap for the 25/26 season—and what a season it’s been.
This final game was no exception: high-energy, physical, and full of intensity from start to finish. The lads put on a great show, with some outstanding saves and a few absolute rockets on goal. A brilliant way to close it out.

⭐️Player of the Matches⭐️

Coach John's - its 1 half of our dynamic duo, Its twinny Owen.
He took a battering today our no 11, but he just kept getting back up and fighting and was not deterred, and lets not forget that blinder of a free kick

Coach Ben's - I say coach Bens but also every lad was pushing this boy forward to the front of the pack because they all thought he deserved it too . . . JUUUDDDEEEE
Our flame-haired, fancy feet causing chaos - leaving the opposition for dust. He had rocket fuel in those boots today and we are here for it.

Well done boys and well done to all the lads for another tremendous season ticked off.
