Corinthians Badminton Club is now back open and we have a few vacancies for good standard players. We are a friendly, competitive, membership club.

Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Bower Park School will be closing on 19th March 2020 until further notice.
Therefore there will be no badminton after tonight's session.

We hope everyone stays safe and we can re-open in the near future.

Hi All,
We have just received this email from another club and it is something we may want to consider......

Subject: Badminton and the Corona virus

I'm sure you will all be aware of the Corona virus by now (it's talked about constantly on the news!) and while the threat to the UK may still be minimal at the moment, we still want to do our bit to minimise any chance of spreading it.

We are therefore asking that when matches are completed that you lightly touch rackets with your opponent rather than shaking hands. This action is being taken across a number of sports in this country and many others around the world. This will apply
to matches in the SDBA, tournaments that we hold and we also ask this be implemented on your club nights as well.

This shall be in place till the end of the season or until there is news that the virus has been contained.

Please pass this news onto your club members so it can be implemented as soon as possible. Any questions then please let me know.

Emerson Eagles Badminton Club are holding an event on Wednesday 3rd July at Emerson Park School, Wychem Road, Hornchurch, Essex RM11 3AD between 7.30 and 9.30.

There is an opportunity to watch England's Sam Parsons and his brother Warwickshire coach and player Ryan in an exhibition game, other matches plus a chance to play a few points against them. They also bring all their kit from this season to sell off at much reduced prices in readiness for the new seasons designs being released. Players are allowed to try rackets if they are interested in buying them. There is no cost to attend and no obligation to buy unless you can't resist a bargain!!
