Hi guys i would like to start with telling you all a little bit about my background in ice skating. i participated in figure skating, ice dance and synchronized skating
Over the years i continued to improve, take tests and compete in all disciplines. In 2002 i passed my level 8 elements and free skating tests and i was due to have an audition for Disney on ice that year but unfortunately i had a
nasty accident which ended up with me breaking my lower back in 4 places. This accident changed my life. It has made me stronger, very driven and determined. I had to fight to get my life and career back. I have a very good understanding of recovery and the right steps to take to step back onto the ice. Since qualifying as a coach i have taught all ages and abilities and i really do love my job. I teach both free skating and ice dance. I am a Gold Bar Ice Dancer. I am also coach to the 2013 British junior men ice dance champion and 2014 silver medalist Jonathan Davies and Senior ladies 2022 British ice dance champion Amy World. I have also competed in Senior ladies myself so i know what it takes to get there mentally and physically. i am a national technical specialist for ice dance and keep up to date with all the rule changes season by season. i am a level 2 gym instructor and currently study for my level 3 personal trainer qualification. this helps my pupils with their off ice training as that is equally as important. If anybody is interested in lessons please feel free to give me a call or drop me a message. Weather its to help with basics, choreography or to be pushed to get to where you would like to be. I also cut music too so if you need new music and are struggling to get it to the right time or tempo please visit my page Jodie O'keefe music cutting service. here you will also find some demos of music i have cut for people.
